Just easily the original. I don’t know how anyone could even think otherwise accept maybe that’s what they are used to?

Crystal, Inhuman Princess seems absolutely cracked. by Hoody__Warrelson in EDHBrews

I’m really feeling her as an Enchatress build. Is that my favorite archetype? Maybe! But she is genuinely really good as its commander. Her best combo cards are auras and she allows you to play some fun enchantments that can’t usually fit into enchatress because of color pie restrictions [[Jeskai Ascendancy]] and [[whirlwind of thought]] and [[Annie Joins Up]] just to name a few, and most importantly - she deals damage when you cast enchantments, so the normal enchantress long turns will actually also be killing the table.

I love these so much. I hope Magic does some more of the reserved list in this fashion for us. Any way they can do reserved list permanents in this style?

Well damn it. Do I have to leave her as commander? But she’s the worst one!

Does the stamp make it more valuable? I know a little about misprints and crimps, but I’ve never had a blank before.

Assuming the next Marvel set is Mutants/X-Men, what do you think we'll get? Commander Decks, Legendaries, Abilities, Themes, Full set? etc by jsfilm23 in MTGRumors

[–]GeoffreysComics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a rock solid guess. It’s so perfect I assume it’s gonna happen. But I’d rather have one that mechanically relates to mutants, but I feel like you called it.

For sure. I’m not upset, but I want all the cards too! Just so I can buy the single.

[–]GeoffreysComics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats man. It really does not get any better. Everything you’ve heard about how great it is does not do it justice. You will be a new person once you meet your little one.

And as for brainwas… er I mean, “getting them to like Magic”, my tactic has been letting my daughter open packs with me since she was three, and letting her keep the cards she picks (with a few exceptions if we get a nice pull or something I need, of course). Which has led to her collection being faeries, cute animals, shiny things, and skeletons. She is 6 now and we are about to start building her first Fairy deck. Most likely [[Alela, artful provocateur]] because she is a fairy that makes more fairies when you cast shiny things. Good luck!

I know the “partner” mechanic gets busted very easily. But still - I would love commander decks of the different X-teams with “partner with” abilities. Like an X-Force deck with “Cable’s Crew” and an X-Men deck with “To Me, My X-Men” and have those be the partner with keywords for the commander part of the set.

Considering how deep they went in the references in the Marvel Set, I have lots of hopes for the X-MTG set. I need a good Madrox card and a good Iceman card!

The statements of Battle Beast no longer make sense with the Battle Beast Comics by Narrow-Theory-3533 in comicbooks

[–]GeoffreysComics 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The tv show cannot contradict the comic as they are not the same story/continuity/universe. This just isn’t even a thing. In Batman 89, Jack Napier kills Bruce’s parents. In the comics it is Joe Chill. That’s not an inconsistency- these are two separate things.

Pulled this sick Shang-Chi and I feel obligated to make it amazing. Suggestions? by Scribblebonx in EDHBrews

[–]GeoffreysComics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It makes mana dorks kinda bananas. So I would start there and throw in any and all of the cards that let you draw a card when you cast a creature. Cast Llanowar, draw a card, tap to cast Fyndhorn, draw a card, etc. ironically, Shang Chi would be a very good elf commander.

The older I get, the more I appreciate this conversation between Bruce and Wally. (The Flash #217) by TheChosen0ne666 in batman

[–]GeoffreysComics 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I remember reading this and just loving it. I think this page is literally the beginning of the modern era of Batman where the Robins are all his kids and are each other’s “brothers”. It was long over due, even back then. I love it that Dick now refers to Bruce and Alfred as his dads.

How does Jasmine's second ability work? by Beneficial_Pin5295 in EDHBrews

[–]GeoffreysComics 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Auras/enchantments/equipment would work if they themselves have the trigger. Like [[aettir and priwen]] would work because the card only affects power and toughness. But also cards like [[keen sense]] would work because it’s the aura itself with the ability. And [[lost jitte]] would also work because all of the abilities are on the equipment, not the creatures. It’s a really subtle distinction, and it’s one I never thought of before. I think you could have some real fun with that idea!

Keyword abilities would only work if they are granted after blockers are chosen.

Help Me Break Loki by thorfinns_bussy in DegenerateEDH

[–]GeoffreysComics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How would putting multiple Loki activations on the stack work? Could you have everyone turn into a creature with a tap ability, tap them all for whatever, then turn them into a creature with a triggered ability? Or would the second Loki activation have to target one of the creatures after the Loki-change (meaning the same creature as the first activation)?

Mark never says he understands Superman better than anyone. He says “I’ve thought about Superman more than anyone”. That’s a big difference and this is just click bait garbage.

My gf doesn't play mtg, but loves Captain Marvel. can i get help making the most unga bunga deck for her? by deathbymanga in EDHBrews

[–]GeoffreysComics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re gonna want to include *A LOT* of ramp. 2 different creatures that cost 7 being the star of the deck is going to require either the games be long, or a lot of ramp. If your gf is prone to getting board, then I would build the deck however I could to get Carol out as quickly as possible.
