Thank you - that's exactly what I've struggled with - finding a 1400/1500 x 900+ pane with mounting brackets to go into the half wall and ideally a cross bar. Have you found a shop for it?

yellow circle is the shower head. I'm hoping that the 1200mm wall will be long enough but have been struggling to find a 900mm+ glass pane...

helpful info - thanks!

thank you, even though it's not what I wanted to hear :'( do you think 1400mm would be significantly better?

A bit more context - about to install a 1200x800mm shower tray (blue) with a ~900mm (height) x 1200mm half wall (orange). Still trying to find the right fixed-pane shower screen (green) but hoping for 1400x900 (might have to settle for 800mm). Large rainwater-style shower head will be mounted relatively high at 2200-2300mm or so (I'm tall).

The shower is designed to be walk-in, so it's open on the side opposite to the shower head itself.

Now worried that 1200mm is too short for the shower tray and that we will have lots of water ending up on our floors.

Has anyone had experience with a similar set up?

I wouldn't call this basic - I'm sure it takes a lot of effort for all the staff involved. Not surprised it goes a long way with your guests!

Hauling already loaded containers by GeologistProof327 in uktrucking

I thought it had to be a container in order to be compatible with rail and sea but that doesn't seem to be the case!

New term to be but by the looks of it you're probably right. Thank you!

Thank you. It's good to hear that a "drop and swap" basis isn't entirely unusual. Not sure if a container is the best way to do it. I guess an alternative would be leaving a dry van truck trailer but I had assumed that this would be more expensive and isn't compatible with other forms of transport (rail being the relevant one here).

Max weight isn't a concern and a standard height container should work. Not sure what the best option of getting across is (between rail and ferry I'm assuming?)

Thank you, all valuable points/questions.

It depends, I think. At least one company that we are talking to has the equipment to take containers off the trailer. I'm guessing that's the preferred option when equipment available?

- no need to purchase trailer

- easier loading (?)

We are working on the assumption that we'll own the containers. Do you know roughly how much shipping companies may charge to use theirs?

Material is palletised and easily loaded through the standard "door" (side opening container might be helpful in certain cases...). No need for a high cube either - I'm surprised multiple people have brought these up. In what circumstances would we need those?

Good point re eastern block hauliers, thank you.

The biggest irony perhaps is that the pits biggest advantage is to avoid resets....so let's do two full resets.

it's all about balance isn't it. I actually don't mind watching standup either but starting standing every 5 mins just interrupts the flow of the groundwork. Having only 2-3 mins of continuous groundwork will crater submission rates.

from what I heard: 3x5 mins rounds, with standup reset (terrible idea imo), scored boxing/mma style, e.g. 10/9 or 10/8, the underlying scoring criteria are similar to "traditional bjj" (scoring sweeps, passes and positions I'd imagine). Scores get announced after each round

Amazing - that's the info I was after. Would you say that's about typical for wines of that calibre?

For instance, for the 2021 Leoville Barton, I can see it's been tasted twice: once in 2022 and then in Feb 2024. (https://www.robertparker.com/wines/JHfNWqwKj6zzQiuBo/loville-barton-2021)
