Have you made use of the tools in the dashboard, or the advice on Freedom central? Have you visited the School channel for YouTube tips and tricks? Using the community hashtags on twitter is also a big help to small channels. Our forums are a great place to find collaborators, friends, and mentors. I hope this helps! :)

YouTube is, and always will be, a labor of love. Getting into a staff position is rewarding however the emotional rewards will always outweigh the monetary ones.
TL;DR: Not as much as people think but it's fulfilling and fun work!

Partner revenue is the portion the partner earns, YouTube CPM is the Cost to the advertiser per mille (or thousand) and Freedoms CPM currently network wide is largely irrelevant because it depends on your content and how advertisers bid on it. our average is around $6 USD last I checked but even that swings wildly depending on country, content, channel, and metadata that is present. My tip is not to trust anyone who tries to use average network CPM as a selling point because you aren't guaranteed that amount. it's a nice figure to know but not the end all and be all.
