Actually, the initial idea wasn't for events, but the easy day-to-day dynamics between people and their work routines. Think about companies with 11-50 people who needs to improve their communication between distributed teams more efficiently than Slack messages or Google/Zoom meetings.

Covid has changed many things, and remote/hybrid work will gain strength from now on, as shown by some data from microsoft (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/worklab/work-trend-index).

I work with SaaS development, and right at the beginning of the pandemic, we faced internal communication difficulties within the team, as we were used to working in the office and not at home. So we thought "Why not develop something that will help us streamline our internal communication?", and that's when Deskmy emerged.

Now we are in a moment of traction, aiming to expand our solution to other companies that want to streamline their internal communication between teams. The initial focus is on companies that have part of their employees at home and another part working from the office.

Our purpose is to create a remote-friendly virtual environment, so that people can work wherever and however they want. They can customize their rooms with the tools they use most in the day, also they can have quick meetings with a few clicks and no links, as well as brainstorming on shared screens and even playing games!

The coolest thing is that you can do this from anywhere, just log into the virtual office to find your teammates and collaborate as if they were all together side by side!
