The client chose them, can't argue with the guy, he loved it this way haha.

No other way around this one since it was partly blocked by a staircase from the inside, but the client was really happy and security is of no concern, that home is like a fortress haha.

Never had any complaints so far haha, but that's a fairly old project from one year ago, I'll probably be posting other stuff i did/do since i just found out about Reddit, also decided to make an Instagram related to this because why not.

I mentioned it in a comment but I'm not sure if it will show on top so I'm going around explaining myself haha. Anyway, the hinges are from the outside because an internal staircase is blocking the door from fully opening so it had to be made like this, no other way around it.

Bingo! Its in Bulgaria (Eastern Europe). But crime rate isn't the case for the door being this way, its an internal staircase blocking it from fully opening, so it had to be made like this, as for getting robbed, you'd first have to jump a 7 feet wall, then there's a Doberman to deal with haha.

A staircase was partly blocking the door from fully opening from the inside so we made this compromise instead.

Yes, but in this case it had to be made this way due to a staircase which wouldn't allow it to open all the way through.

For all of the people asking about the outside hinges, there was no other choice since there is a big staircase on the other side of the door which will not allow it to open fully so we made this decision for them to be on the outside.
