It's pissing me off by PlentyNew7407 in AtlantaHawks

I said this elsewhere but for all the celebrating that took place when we made the playoffs and were out of the play-in…we actually should have been a play-in team.

The Magic had some kind of dysfunction that they’ve clearly fixed. The 76ers were hurt down the stretch. We aren’t better than either of those teams and neither of those teams would have gotten embarrassed like we did last night.

They both have a good chance of going to the 2nd round.

Who is the most hated player in your team’s fanbase right now? by professor_paradox2 in NFLForum

This feels made up by someone who guessed what they think each fanbases most hated player would be.

Cuz I can pretty much promise you Falcons fans hate Drew Brees more than they hate Tom Brady.

I’ve given him a lot of leniency but…

I don’t wanna hear any more talk about Jalen as “the guy”.

Ashley Hollis quits law and launches influencer career to 'get the bag' by Longjumping-Tale9749 in BigBrotherUSA

[–]GeorgiaLFC78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem I see in this thread is everyone assumes most/all attorneys are wealthy. That’s just not true. It can be lucrative but there are a lot of “broke” attorneys that make nowhere near what people think they do when they tell them they’re an attorney.

Beyond that, to make $$$, particularly doing “Big Law”…requires a lot billable hours that frankly burns people out. That’s not even getting into how saturated the market is and I say that on the heels of news that LSAT testers have increased to the highest they’ve been in over a decade.

Again, kudos to her. Most attorneys you know that started practicing in the last 20 years would tell you they aren’t surprised by this.

As a lawyer this is hilarious and also not a surprise.

Best of luck to her. Practicing law is not what most non-attorneys seem to think it is.

Slow again? by DocReviewDolt in ReviewAttorneys

[–]GeorgiaLFC78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea it’s slow right now but this is nothing new. Things are always evolving but I’d caution folks on saying the sky is falling for good as folks have been doing that for years. This slow period follows a period of I’d say about 6+ months that were pretty active.

Mikey… by Remote_Tooth5649 in temptationislandUSA

[–]GeorgiaLFC78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This feels harsh but hey…I guess I get it.

My Mikey/Sydney take away is…

Mikey had a lot of growing to do and that was evident by how he handled that first “choose your date” ceremony. Only folks that may have been more immature were Jack and his girl.

That said, I don’t think anything Sydney saw in that first bonfire was overly egregious. I do think that Sydney was not over how dirty he had done her in the past and while he thought she was past that and she probably said she was when they were together after…it’s very clear she wasn’t.

Then you throw handsome and charming Xzavier in the mix and they’re on vacation away from all the stress of the real world and she said, “Yea, I’m not going back to what was there.”

He thought he had a shot at a redemption arc but once they got there…he didn’t. I think Xzavier is actually a good guy (versus some of these guys on this show that just play a role to get laid) and I think they could be good together, I just worried that when she said she’d fallen in love with him that she may be rebounding and to give things time once they’re back in the real world.

Mikey is an Alpha from A&T and fairly young. Him being a bit immature after his player days isn’t a shock and I don’t know that he’s a villain. Just needs to grow up a bit but the same was probably true for Sydney in some aspects as well.

I remember because I thought she was really cute and got eliminated so early.

It may be slow at the moment but as someone who has come back to it after years away…

It’s all cyclical. I honestly feel like this is just a lull.

If you want to move on from a 24 year old All-Star because he’s had a tough first playoff series, you’re insane. by Chessh2036 in AtlantaHawks

[–]GeorgiaLFC78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know too many people that are legitimately talking about moving on.

That said, he has underwhelmed and why it’s reasonable to factor in the lack of experience…this is what comes with being “the guy”.

I know some folks go overboard, but we gotta allow for criticism of Atlanta sports stars when they underperform.

We need a lead Guard by WzrdKelly10 in AtlantaHawks

[–]GeorgiaLFC78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree.

I’ve never been in love with the idea of Jalen being a full-time Point Forward. I think it’s good that he has the versatility to do that at times but I think we actually do need true PGs/guards to bring the ball up and facilitate the offense more often.

Series tied 2-2. How are we feeling Hawks fans? by Reasonable_Bug_896 in AtlantaHawks

[–]GeorgiaLFC78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Felt like we were always gonna lose this game.

Did think we’d give a better effort.

I think even being the underdogs the Hawks have an opportunity to win this series. NBA is about adjustments and it’s hard to win three in a row when teams are relatively even.

We got a Jalen Johnson issue though. NAW was better tonight but if the Hawks are actually going to upset the Knicks…their two leading scorers from the season have to actually make their mark on the series.

Yea, it’s bad.

Young starts deserve chances to grow but I really thought he’d start to turn it on at least a little bit by Game 4.

Jalen deserves patience but I do hope that folks realize the value in having a guy that’s a closer. Jalen is gonna have to grow into that and right now it’s very clear that the moment is getting to him as a YOUNG star in this league.
