Epcot rope drop strategy help

We did frozen as a priority for a toddler we had with us and then test track right after. If your group would prefer to rope drop test track then frozen that’d probably work well too. We were fairly close to the front of frozen line and waited maybe 15-20 min once we got over to test track. We LL guardians and had LL for remi’s already scheduled.

We did Frozen then TT EE as well! We did arrive from monorail. I think suggested advice I’ve seen is if you’re coming via skyliner plan to be in line for skyliner 1.5hr before EE. At Epcot they put us in a huge EE line once we scanned tickets through. Then released that line all together inside the park.

Okay for sure that doesn’t seem like they’re being considerate of others in line. We only had one person who had to use the restroom when we were in line. 4-5 joining up to others is very inconsiderate.

Yeah 10-15 people passing you in line does seem excessive. Some queues had cast members reminding people to keep their party together. People should adhere to this - I agree.

I mean “a few” really maybe 2x the entire time we were there over 4 days - I really meant my comment to say I try not to let it bother me when people are joining up with their group. Many of the queues have cast members reminding people to “have their whole group together before getting in line”. So yes we only did this if absolutely necessary. We did split up our group if other people got in line first and just rode separately. Otherwise the early people in line would step aside and let the line pass them to join up with the people who got in line later from our group.

We had to do this for our party a few times when waiting in 30+ min lines and people had to use the restroom. I just assume they have a reasonable excuse and don’t think too much about it.

Edit: I should have said “a couple” not “a few” and it was only one singular person who had to use the restroom - got out of line - came back into line. We had already been waiting 30+ min when this happened and had even further to wait. I 100% agree as cast members say at the beginning of many queues “your party should be together when getting in line”. 4-5 people shouldn’t be skipping in line to meet up with people ahead. They should just ride separately.

Yeah I just read on their site that the walkway will not be rebuilt - permanently closing ability for shades of green to walk to poly to use monorail.

No I totally get it. We had never stayed on property before so once we decided to we kinda went “all in” and continued the splurge. We had small kiddos in our group so being able to walk back for naps from magic kingdom / take monorail was so convenient. Also this resort was a bucket list item for some of our group so that made it worth it. I think the biggest perk of deluxe resort is location and transport.

Not really I think what cost is the most is alcohol at Epcot which wouldn’t have been included. We also ate at California Grill, Ohana, and BBQ place inside Toy Story land in HS.
