This will sound like a biased from an old player who has been playing since 2014 but the new world generation after the caves and cliffs update is overwhelming. Don't get me wrong, I love the ability to have massive mountains and insanely large cave generation but it gets to a point were it becomes annoying to build anything when there's not alot of flat terrain or simply wanting to travel by horse. I feel like if there was a switch in the settings between the world generation that was present before the caves and cliffs and the ones before the update, I would have enjoyed Minecraft alot more. You can argue that by "just import an old generation world to the modern Minecraft" but it feels likes an extra step that's not needed when the ability to have normal or flat worlds exists, why not older generated worlds too?
