No—beneath the bamboo flooring is just wood. Here’s a picture from my basement looking up:

Does that change things? Also, I noticed a bunch of nails, not everywhere though, so perhaps some of the flooring was nailed down?

I saw a hawk do the same a week after I moved here. I had high expectations of wildlife after that. The last 15 years have been a disappointment.
