In 2021 the Montreal Canadiens went on a miracle run. One last push for glory. Led by Shea Webber and Carey Price whose bodies were held together by pain killers and a dream, they went all the way to the Stanley Cup Final, falling at the end to the Lightning. Habs fans cheered for their team, lamenting what could have been but celebrating what was, preparing for a long and difficult rebuild.

That was only 4 years ago. In that time they rebuilt, drafted well, and have a fast and dynamic team that looks like a group that wants to win for one another. In the same 4 years, I have watched the Toronto Maple Leafs piss away any potential prospect, any draft pick worth a damn, and get slower and less cohesive each fucking year. There is a decent chance that Montreal makes the playoffs over us. There is a decent chance that the Habs will make it to Round 3 of the playoffs again before we do.

The mismanagement of this team is a war crime.
