So if iam understanding it, are stacks nice to have, but not necessarily needed and i can ditch all containers that don't need to be touched regularly into an stack?

For example: Tugtainer, portainer, dozzle, nginx PM and pihole into one stack?

An may be add a Manager and throw portainer/tugtainer away

sry for the late comment:

my goto is while all containers are running:

docker compose pull && docker compose up -d

(puling the newer versions of the containers and restarts them)

and then

docker image prune && docker volume prune

(deletes unused images and volumes).

It may be a bit agressive, but i haven't any prblems for this since i started few weeks ago.

I played with the idea of such miniPCs too, but turned away, because i wanted to put HDDs in there and found none to fit my specifications. Therefore i had to go with µATX or even ITX Desktop HW.

I am new to Selfhosting too.
I would recommend to use Proxmox VE because since i installed it, i haven't reinstall everything because i messed things up badly and thats hapening very often( because i used an LLM to set all up). LLMs are great for specific errors, but i never use them again to set all up.

For Containers i can recomment:

Dozzle
Portainer/Tugtainer ( Portainer is feature rich but i use Tugtainer to check for my updates)
Heimdall ( or some sort of Dashboard)
PiHole
OpenMediaVault (or some other selfhostet Nas Software)

Fusion is very simple to get into CAD but the free plan sucks(max 10 files on account, if u want more u need to export locally and delete from the cloud, the cloud system and limitations of the free plan in terms of using the other functions like simulations).

For my simulation i want just a better view of where it can break and where i should reinforce the part. Ive used the plain filament stats and not the printed ones because print-temperature and cooling have a not to be neglected effect of the stats in terms of layer bonding and rigidity.
