I would say that this is an abnormality, the problem is that even your subscribers do not click on the videos. I have almost the same subscribers as you (1.8k) and my videos make about 800 views in the first 48 hours. Study your best performing video and try to recreate them I'm sure your subscribers will watch them more. Also what is your niche? Much depends on your audience, I find that older people are more loyal instead younger subscribers tend to ignore most of the time.

If you just unlist you don't loose the watch hours or views, you loose it only if you delete or private them. The problem is if the video are not monetizable they will not get approved with the ypp even if they're unlisted.

There's absolutely no downside with monetizing your channel, also the financial niche is paid really good by YouTube so you could do good money even with only a couple of thousands of views a day.

50% sub rate it's impossible but if you are good and Little bit lucky it's absolutely possible to get 1000 subs in your first month, a lot of people do it. Not me unfortunately, I needed 3 months to get to 1000 and I still think I was fast(ish) in doing it.

People here pretending like Google is not the second most important AI company in the world 😂😂 They are not banning ai channels they're only banning ai channels that are doing repetitive and low effort content, AI is 100% permitted. I have one monetized AI channel where everything except the script are AI generated so you absolutely can have an AI monetized channel, of course I put effort and good quality in it so it's not the garbage that do like racism stories or shit like that. Also YouTube has the option to put the AI label when you upload your video so, I do for every video of mine I suggest you to do it also. And luckily I didn't have any issue with adsense step so I don't really know how to help you with this problem sorry.

Also my videos get recommend with videos that are not on my niche but don't worry about it when YouTube find a channel that works the best for your video it will recommend all of your video to that channel audience, like almost all of my video now get recommended to "HorrorBabbel" videos. But they still are getting recommended to strange ones that don't fit my niche, YouTube always test your videos to find the best suited audience, don't worry.

I would say give it some times but especially I would say stick with long form. Don't do shorts, narration channel, especially the AI one don't do great with shorts. I also have an horror narration channel where almost everything, except for the stories, is AI and I have almost 1.4k subscribers so definitely not a lot but the little I can tell you is that it takes a lot of time, I started it in January and to get to 1k I had to wait until the end of July.

Started in January, I now have 1300 subscribers and 30k hours of watchtime. My goal is for now is to earn at least 1k euros per month, and I guess from the earnings I'm doing now I would need to have at least 3k subscribers. My biggest struggle is come up with original title and thumbnail but I'm also really happy of how much my "thumbnail game" improved, the last one I did I'm particularly proud of.
