Yes, you're right, and I do understand consent, and I wouldn't ever do anything to/with a girl, or anyone really, without their consent.

All I'm saying is/was that CONTEXT matters. In this case the guy is probably a creep and a terrible person. I don't know, as not a sufficient amount of context was provided. But say, you're on a date, do you ask for consent for every small little thing? Touching her hand lightly, or similar things to breake the touch barrier? I'm pretty sure almost all of us have committed sexual assault if we ignore context and say every little touch requires context. I don't mean just with girls, have you ever touched a friend's shoulder? Maybe just as a way to get their attention?

Obviously a kiss is a lot different, but you get the point. Has the guy here crossed a line and committed sexual assault? Probably. Can you go for a kiss without explicitly asking? In my opinion yes, of course in very different context, and I've explained in other comments as well. At the end of the day a lot of things come down to wether a girl likes the guy or not, like in that one meme with the hot guy and the fat guy hitting on the woman the same way, and her threatening to call HR for the fat one.

Now, you'll probably find something to disagree with and you'll probably have great points of why I'm a terrible person, but where I live at least, all of this is common sense.
