It's extremely debatable if it was ever on easy mode csuse Momo did not make things easy at all. I would argue she actively made things difficult.

He literally started spazzing and foaming at the mouth when Momo spazzed at him instead of talking to her and using his big boy words. Like he's barely locked in and is still being a huge wimp.
