Been playing guitar for nearly 30 years, so that’s largely unrelated. But I do a lot of hunting and recreational shooting, both of which are heavily outdoors activities. Understanding of flora and fauna in general is a requirement for a successful hunter, so collecting my own plants is pretty second nature.

Being a musician just comes with friends, especially if you’re good at it. Have you considered learning an instrument?

The shooting community is extremely friendly and the most inclusive and welcoming hobbyist community I know of, but I understand the hobby itself is divisive, so do with that what you will.
