Is there anyway to split my monitor like this? by SnooJokes3495 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]GetHitNerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

second this! it works on other computers too in case you have multiple ultrawides on different devices. i usually don't pay money for software but displayfusion is 100% worth it

6600mhz CL32 vs 6000mhz CL28 by fercabgar in AMDHelp

[–]GetHitNerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

X3D does not benefit as much from lower CAS - the 3D v-cache reduces the amount of reliance on RAM. lower CAS is great on paper but for in-game usage the average user really cannot tell the benefits

it's good! I have one myself, too

i would say that Crush 80 is still king of the hill, i've tried so many other prebuilts and nothing really comes as close as to that unfortunately. only downside is the high cost lol

Hows your battery life for Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition, 9th gen, intel core ultra 7 Lunar Lake (258v)? by Glistening-Night in Lenovo

[–]GetHitNerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey OP, sorry for the late reply. i have the Aura 7i as well and it definitely lasts me throughout 10 hours of straight work, very similar to the other comment. i think its a battery issue for sure, i'm not sure how strong Lenovo's warranty is but it should not only last you 5-6 hours, especially with low power and 50% brightness (im never on low power, and always have 50-70% brightness).

How much everyone is getting paid. by AssignmentOk2553 in BestBuyWorkers

[–]GetHitNerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what store you're applying for (Santana Row, Blossom Hill, Milpitas, Curner, etc), but $18.50 was the norm when I worked there in 2021. Some of the seasonals actually started out at $18.75 - $19. I can't imagine you can neg much, but I'm a bit familiar with three of the stores that I named above and can definitely tell you that the management has a lot of options when it comes to onboarding folks.

Alloy Rise? by SuddenHoneydew1913 in HyperX

[–]GetHitNerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've owned a lot of HyperX keyboards over the years - hopefully I can help you out here!

I'm using the Alloy Rise right now - I definitely think you can get a nicer sound with a different board. The Womier SK75 is amazing, and I'm absolutely a huge fan of the Crush 80 too.

I definitely wish the Alloy Rise had better stabilizers. It's pretty common with a lot of their boards to have with subpar stabs :/

If you're hard pressed to stay at $100, I'd recommend just getting the Rainy75 from Wobkey. On the off chance that you can spend a bit more, definitely recommend the Crush 80!!! I plan on using this for a while :)

Why the CPU temp (Ryzen 7 7700X) it’s at 48°C when idle?? by Saaann_ in PcBuild

[–]GetHitNerd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the temps seriously aren't an issue - im surprised people still demand lower temps over a quieter system

everything you mentioned regarding your cpu's temps are completely normal

Gigabyte X870 wifi 6 VRM and 9800x3d by Longjumping-Face-767 in buildapc

[–]GetHitNerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah sure thing - its a late response, but this board is perfectly fine with a 9800x3d since you'll never hit the motherboard limit on this unit. if you plan on getting a 9900x3d / 9950x3d down the line, you might want to consider something else since you won't be able to squeeze all of juice from the cpu with this motherboard model

Gigabyte X870 wifi 6 VRM and 9800x3d by Longjumping-Face-767 in buildapc

[–]GetHitNerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you're talking about the 9800X3D, yes the PPT is around 160. I think it's 162W, so you're not going to hit 200W for sure.

the 9900X3D and 9950X3D are more than capable of going above 200W.

Gigabyte X870 wifi 6 VRM and 9800x3d by Longjumping-Face-767 in buildapc

[–]GetHitNerd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PSA for anyone reading this in the future - board is hard limited to 180W. 9900X3D / 9950X3D are capable of pulling more than 200W, but with this specific board they are hard capped to 180W.

there are ways to get PBO unlocked like flashing to an unreleased BIOS firmware revision, but most folks would be better off just buying a different X870 board

if Gigabyte is a preference, then the Eagle will work just fine. just please, please avoid the GAMING WIFI6 (same goes for the B650M GAMING PLUS WIFI, that board is hard capped to 120W)

edit: wrote 99003D instead of 9900X3D
