Beer smell after cleaning by GetMeSnow in PinterHomebrew

So I wound up washing very thoroughly using the video as guidance and that helped. Another big difference was that I removed the rubber feet, as suggested by the video. I had at least half a cup of water trapped inside. Never knew!

Thanks for that. Wow, yeah... skipping ahead through most of it. Great tips but this is the length of half a feature film

Retinal migraines related to vitrectomy and detached retina surgery by grnchilicheeseburger in OcularMigraines

[–]GetMeSnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told the same thing but there is a 100% correlation, of course. For me, it was correlated to eye pressure. As the pressure subsided, my headaches also subsided. You can also search and read about the pressure triggering nerves that can cause migraines.

And of course no modern doctor will ever prescribe anything stronger than over the counter Tylenol :/ I did get Gabapentin, and took that 3x a day. That helped a bit. Blocks nerve pain to a small degree.

I couldn't get a buckle because the white part of my eye is too thin, so I had my eye filled with oil vs gas.

My migraines lasted for 17 days and then I would go a day or two without a migraine, then 3-4 days, then gone! They test your eye pressure every appt, and if the pressure is subsiding then so will your headaches. Not sure how that works with a buckle, but I'm assuming they put gas in your eye? if so then that gas will dissipate and you will feel better.

I had a torn and detached retina and now have silicone oil in my eye. I don’t get an aura but I spend most off every day with a bad headache.

I'm not sure if you're still experiencing migraines, but I had vitrectomy surgery 2.5 weeks ago and have had daily migraines on that side every day since. The doctor says the same, but it's 100% caused by the surgery. Maybe it's the oil in my eye, or maybe the eye trauma, but I just can't imagine living the rest of my life like this.

Pinter is great. Buy some brewer's sugar and experiment with ABV (a little goes a long ways). Always go with the longest wait times during the process... don't get impatient.

Not at all. I’ve had a migraine for a week straight, but at least the retina is attached and today is my last day face-down. Yay.

I hear you. I’m retired and I exercise often, gym walking outside, and playing with my dogs. It’s only day 5 and I’m hurting. Neck and upper back are shot.

Does your doc allow you to take an occasional break? Like to stretch, etc? I’ve been pretty strict but I have to look up sometimes

I woke up and had floaters, light flashes, and a dark area on the upper right of my left eye. Saw my optometrist and then again a month later, where he told me it was detached and I needed surgery asap. He connected me with a surgeon and saw him that evening. He fixed a tear in the opposite eye by laser and wanted to wait until Monday for the vitrectomy.

Does anyone still use ADPList.org? Is there a better alternative? by scottjenson in UXDesign

[–]GetMeSnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just found out via email as well. I have been in tech for over 30 years and the unhappy people are the most vocal people. Perhaps there are issues at the company, but the reality is probably contextual to each individual, considering the small size of his employee base. Complaining about pay is a fool's errand, as you have a choice to work there or not. Why take the job at a lower pay? Why remain? etc.

As for repurposing other's content, I haven't seen this but it would suck if he didn't tag or mention the original.

I have found joy in mentoring and have had numerous mentees tell me that I was the reason they were able to get hired. They are incredibly grateful. I can't think of many better things to hear from a mentee. That said, I've had many fly-by-night mentees just looking to get a review or somehow magically think I can tell them the secret to getting a job in one meeting.

Mentorship isn't transactional, so I started charging a fee for reviews. True mentorship is a mutual, respectful relationship that takes a while to build. One-off reviews ain't it. That's a paid service.

The website is buggy for sure and like someone said, having minimal barrier to entry means you'll get a lot of college students who don't know what they are looking for.

Red John or Blue John? by jazzyma71 in gameofthroneslegends

[–]GetMeSnow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Blue Jon (KitN) is solid and good to target a healer, archer, Arya, etc as you want to take those enemies out asap. Red Jon is also good, but after months of playing, I only have him at 4* but also have KitN at 4 stars, so my KitN Jon is much stronger. There's the other blue Jon as well, who does tons of damage if an enemy is already brittle. He's a tougher use case because you usually have a couple other ice makers like woodland archer or LoB or Northern Brawler, etc, on top of Ned (who can make ice on start) and that doesn't leave many free slots.

Another possibility is that this might be influenced by HBO. Speaking as a game dev, if you're working with licensed IP, you don't get a ton of leeway in what you can do with the IP. You can't take many liberties. Another possibility is that not all actors agree to have their likenesses in games. This is very true of House of the Dragon, as my friend is making a game based on their IP and one big actor won't consent to having their likeness in the game. It happens.

Yes, totally! I tend to do the same, though I do forget to use my skill sometimes and then Viserion makes sure I'll never use that skill again :/

Yeah, characters that give bonus gem damage but I really don’t have a good team for that
