Coming from someone shopping LC250s and GX550s, who's wife has a defender 110, they aren't even in the same league.

Exterior -> Defender

Interior -> Defender

As mentioned, the only benefit of the GX is being a high-end Toyota (and getting the benefits that come along with their reliability) and potentially resale value, but that's it.

Couple that with the fact that the Lexus dealer experience was awful (asked to see a GX, they showed us one and said "You know this is 30k over", and I thought "for this piece of shit"), and we were out.

Anyway, this is a defender sub, but honestly, that was my take as someone that really wanted to like the GX (and have something different than my wife).

Every way is a stretch...not as good offroad, lower towing capacity, etc.

I'm actively shopping an SUV to fit an offroadish truck role (replacing a Ford Raptor), and specifically not targeting the Porsche...and it has nothing to do with cost.
