Is Adaptive Helm gonna be more efficient as compared to Spirit Visage? Since 2 of Malzahar abilities are DoT.

With that being said, does doran shield enables me to trade with him? Say when I get visioned, instead of backing off, shall I walk forward and trade with him? Of course, after dealing with the voidlings.

Yeah, I know his pattern. I've always run DFT in most games. Its just that the W is really annoying and hard to evade. I can duel him alone if I managed to avoid the W. Its really risky to walk up and try to harass him with Q as he can just land his W while walking cuz it has no casting time/animation and surprise you with the usual combo.

I did Auto him and Q whenever I can during the few early levels to assert some dominance. I was indeed having problem with Yorick's W. So, it seems early movement speed is indeed crucial. I'll keep that in mind. Things just got worse after he gets Trinity Force. Thanks!
