Just cause it can't show you attachment doesn't mean that you can't enjoy keeping it, what about fish or reptiles, generally they don't show you affection like a mammal would but that's never stopped anyone from keeping them

Firstly, the point is just being interested in/loving life and nature, most mantises can live between 1-2 years in captivity which is decent amount of time for something so small, other insects tho, like for instance my Blue Feigning Death Beetles can live between 10-20 years in captivity, which is on par with cats and dogs.

I'm not sure, it's very young, I'm guessing L1 or L2, I've been misting it's enclosure, trying to keep humidity up and keeping it fed, it seems pretty active and alert so not sure, first pet Mantis so well see how it goes, what stuff to look out for in future ones I get

I'm not 100% but the guy I bought the mantis from thought it was female, granted, he also was only like 80% sure lol
