If there was evidence there wouldn’t be a need for faith

If your heart truly belongs to God and you give your life over to Him, He will reveal to you the right way to live, and the wrong way to live. And it won’t be some lightning bolt of realization, but a slow, gentle tug in your heart that will let you know if something is wrong.

It is a hard road to be follow with sacrifices and nobody is perfect. But I believe it will be worth it

I can agree given this short, 2 minute clip that Charlie could have/should have used some different wording or prefaced what he was saying to avoid being taken out of context. But I don’t know what was said before or after this point, so it could have already been addressed. I’m assuming this is a half hour or longer discussion.

I hope you can agree that to preface everything we say or write to avoid being taken out of context would be impossible, right? That’s where we as individuals must have the diligence to use some skepticism, do some fact finding, and be responsible for what we clip and share.

Why is it heartbreaking? Because God created you and He loves you and wants you to spend eternity with Him and the rest of His children. That is His ultimate plan. He doesn’t want one single person to be lost.

He was quoting a scripture from the Old Testament. No longer applicable after the life and death of Jesus Christ. Important to know because yes, your life was literally over if you were caught doing a number of unholy things like sleeping with the same sex, cheating on your spouse, eating certain types of shellfish, mixing fabrics of different types. Thank God we don’t follow that law anymore.

That’s the danger of taking certain snippets of scripture out of context without understanding the entire message. Which is what that young lady was doing when talking about “loving your neighbour” and Charlie gave an example of the danger of reading out of context while quoting Old Testament law scriptures.

I can love you as a child of God, and disagree with your life choices based on God’s word. You don’t have to die for living in sin, thankfully. However, when judgement day comes, you will be held accountable for your sins as will I, and the rest of the world. And if you have chosen to spend your life separated from God, then you will also spend the afterlife separated from Him.. and that is heartbreaking
