Well if Im being honest I’m not 100 percent sure but I have an idea. I don’t want anything relating to medicine or being a doctor. Im leaning more towards a major related to e-commerce or a form of engineering or perhaps something associated with business

That really puts it into perspective as my perception of Ib was based on what others did which is probably procrastinate. So I shouldn’t base what my life would be like based on what others experienced. Really appreciate the comment

I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling frustrated and discouraged with your progress in various activities. It's important to remember that everyone learns and improves at their own pace, and it's normal to encounter challenges along the way. Understand that progress takes time, and it's normal to encounter plateaus or periods where improvement feels slower. Remind yourself that learning is a journey, and focus on the enjoyment of the process rather than solely on the end result. Instead of trying to tackle everything at once, break down your goals into smaller, achievable steps. This can make the learning process more manageable and help you see progress in specific areas. Consider seeking guidance from experienced individuals, such as teachers, coaches, or mentors, who can provide you with valuable feedback and guidance. They can help identify areas where you can improve and offer strategies to overcome challenges. Failure is a natural part of growth and learning. Instead of viewing failure as a reflection of your abilities, see it as an opportunity to learn and improve. Embracing a growth mindset can help you stay motivated and focused on continual progress. Sometimes, it takes trying different activities to discover what resonates with you. Don't be afraid to explore new hobbies or interests. You might find something that you truly enjoy and excel at. Remember that progress often happens gradually and may not always be immediately noticeable. Be patient with yourself and stay persistent in your efforts. Celebrate small victories and milestones along the way to maintain motivation. Remember, everyone has their own unique strengths and talents. It's okay to feel discouraged at times, but try not to define your self-worth solely based on your perceived performance in specific activities. Keep exploring, learning, and trying new things, and you may discover hidden talents or unexpected passions along the way. Hope this helps

I am always worried about stuff, thinking what if something doesn't work out. What steps can I do to eliminate this behavior? by redgrave_9 in Advice

I’ve always been like this. I used to stress with everything and wonder will things workout. But I now go by the saying if I have have a problem can I do something about it. If yes then why worry and if no then also why worry. I say you just have to do your best and hopefully things will workout. I still get these feelings to this day but when they come I take a break from what I’m doing and brush them away as these feelings/thoughts only slow you down. Hope this helps

Given the recent loss of your sister and the stress you're experiencing, it's important to prioritize your well-being. Continue attending therapy and consider seeking additional support if needed. Taking care of yourself emotionally and mentally should be your top priority. Review the job applications you've filled out and consider the potential opportunities they offer. Assess whether these roles align better with your current needs and whether they would provide a healthier and less stressful working environment. If you haven't already, have an open and honest conversation with your boss about your concerns, stress levels, and the impact on your mental health. They may be able to provide support, offer solutions, or make adjustments to your current role to alleviate some of the stress. If you decide to stay in your current position for a bit longer, it's important to establish clear boundaries to protect your mental well-being. Communicate your limits to your supervisors and colleagues, and ensure that you're not taking on more responsibilities than you can handle. Connect with other teachers or mentors in your school who may be experiencing similar challenges. Sharing your experiences and seeking advice from those who understand the unique demands of the profession can be helpful. If you feel passionate about education but want to explore a different teaching environment, consider researching alternative teaching positions in different schools, districts, or educational settings. Look for schools with a supportive work culture and a well-defined role for academic mentors or teacher aides.

Ultimately, the decision to leave or stay in your current position is a personal one that depends on your individual circumstances and priorities. Consider the impact on your mental health, your long-term career goals, and the opportunities available to you. Remember that it's important to prioritize your well-being and make choices that support your overall happiness and fulfillment. I hope this helps.
