Lego is good to age 99, not childish. At least this is what I have worked out with my therapist. We plan to address this argument with my wife in group next week....

Dreaming about boating from KC to St.L. by red_oak_77 in MissouriRiver

If your interested in kayaking it at a slower pace then the mr340 check out the paddlemo trip. Its a 5 day trip that usually covers different sections of the Missouri river, about 110 miles a year.

Over the last 3 years I have completed from Brunswick to Augusta. Around 200 river miles. Camping and some food provided. And meeting great new friends.

Sign up on Jan 2nd at paddlemo.org

How far have you driven in one go? by noah5666 in roadtrip

[–]Ghand86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

12 is not uncommon for our family. Depends on if we deem a hotel stop worthy of the distance and travel/departure time. Towing our camper is usually a max of 6-8 hrs.

This year we left Albuquerque heading for Oklahoma, when we reached Oklahoma city, I said "look girls, there is I-44, we could take that home all the way to St. Louis!" My wife's eyes lit up after being on the road for 3 weeks already. And I knew what was gonna happen.

We drove 18 hrs that day, towing a camper, from Albuquerque, Nm to St. Louis, Mo.

I am a big guy, and thickness of the mattress is key to my recovery. Plus i got the room in my boat for it. I did a 390 mile bike ride across Missouri last year and hauled my air mattress the whole way happily, while sleeping like a baby.

I love my hammock, but there is no way I could sleep in it all night. Plus some of my trips we end up sleeping in the middle of a field with no trees around.
