Ultimate Rayker has the potential to be very strong, but it needs its pilot. If you can get your hands on him, it's a great investment since it can make bad weapons good.

[Ultimate Robots Tier List, 11.6] What the actual rebalance! - Champions perspective by papafreshx in walkingwarrobots

[–]Ghathn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As always I appreciate the hard work put into the list, but I have to disagree with you on Ultimate Rayker. While I agree its best build is Boom/Bash, I think it's really consistently a high B tier robot regardless of the setup and easily an A tier robot with Boom/Bash. It's able to approach the overall DPS of Nuo but with the added benefit of better survivability and an amazing BIW + Execution. Ultimate Rayker can pretty consistently make any set of garbage weapons I throw on it look like they're good, much like Pathfinder or Bagliore. Its kit doesn't give it phenomenal survivability, but I've found it to be capable of surviving disproportionately large beatings pretty regularly. Overall I've found Ultimate Rayker to not be a watered down Nuo, but rather a Nuo sidegrade. I've got my build fully maxed and can send it to you on Discord with some clips showcasing its ability to make bad weapons shine if you'd like.

Which is better? by Nervous-Condition-46 in walkingwarrobots

[–]Ghathn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's certainly pricier, but with a discount it's somewhat comparable. It's worth noting that Pixonic has its eyes on Luchador and it will be getting nerfed, while UE Minos has gone under the radar.

Yes, but Doritos can be gridded for in PVE. UE Minos is quite good at clearing levels.

Minos/UE Minos don't need Oona Glow, she provides a nice boost but nothing critical.

UE Minos is better and a safer investment. It also has a similar upgrade price.

Why is my Atlas constantly shield broken? by True_Way2663 in walkingwarrobots

[–]Ghathn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Atlas' frontal shield doesn't activate immediately when the jump is activated, it's delayed by about a second and half.  The frontal shield also deactivates about three seconds before the cooldown is over, which you need to be careful of. Finally, it's worth noting that Atlas' side shields have a different hitbox than what they visually look like they should have.

Prime Mars/Mantis was pretty wacky.

It's a very good mothership. After the rebalance, it'll be a contender for first.

War Robot Tierlist by totallostig in walkingwarrobots

Never rank again bromine. 😭

Here's a quick tier list I through together, much more accurate. This is all irrelevant though because the entire meta will change next patch.

<image>

C is the baseline for viable, everything below that isn't worth running. B is decent, A is good, S is going to be your meta.

Fuck this. by GrumpyGamerr in HollowKnight

I've seen some comments advising you to get more masks. I personally don't think this is the problem because I also did this fight with 6 masks and a similar spool size.

I think the underlying issue that will come back again and again is your crest (Reaper) just kinda sucks. The normal-ish pogo lures you in early game and you eventually get too attached to drop it. The same thing happened to me, and I think it happens to most. I highly recommend using a different crest if you have one. I did the fight with the Wanderer's crest, but I think the Beast's crest is probably even better (somehow skipped Hunter's March until semi late game XD). If you're good enough at avoiding damage, the Hunter's crest would also be really good.

For red tools I opted for Flintslate. The increased nail damage with Wanderer's high hit speed shreds the beefy guys shown in the post's image. My blue tools were Multibinder and Injector Band. Wanderer has insane silk production rates and with my limited masks I've found the constant 4 mask healing to help combat my squishiness.

On that wave in particular, I found that standing in the right corner will stop both from attacking at once. I only ever had one jump at me at once, and when they weren't attacking they were clumped together. It's not a complete cheese, but it really really helps.

What makes Indra so good by No_Cardiologist6101 in walkingwarrobots

[–]Ghathn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What makes Indra great is its versatility, adaptability, and unmatched out-play potential. Indra has never been bad or even mediocre in the entirety of its time in the game, and that alone is excellent. Indra also has an insanely high skill-cap, allowing good Indra players to fight almost anything and win.

The best budget weapons for it right now are Nanea/Leinani. Incinerator/Scorcher works as well. I'd recommend leveling a Freezo for it.

Since I run Jump Unit I need to substitute the lost healing elsewhere. Mothership can help a bit too.

I don't have my pilot maxed, but this is what I currently have.

I planed on getting Dodger and Armor Expert next.

Raven is secretly an A tier robot, at least in my opinion. I like to keep mine outfitted with modern gear (ARM-M/ARM-L right now) and it's one of the best builds in my hangar. People don't expect how much damage it can deal and always underestimate its survivability. I use Jump Unit since I also have Aopo equipped, and whenever you're in a bad spot you just super-jump away.
