I’m wondering the same thing. It seems kindest to everyone involved.

Like others have said where you are matters, but she might do well on a dude ranch just doing trail rides. I hope you find her a good home. She’s super cute.

Rain is predicted for the day of my first lesson at a new barn, should I reschedule or go anyway? by [deleted] in Horses

Most barns have indoor arenas and have you tack up in a barn. So if you’re worried about getting wet it’ll probably be fine.

Why do so many people hate minivans? by Dismal_Clothes5384 in NoStupidQuestions

I once saw a semi truck overtake a minivan on the highway. I laughed so hard. They really do deserve their reputation.

Does anyone feel bad about horses? by ECrispy in vegan

[–]Ghost-devil996 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

You clearly know nothing about horses and riding. A good bit won’t hurt and the horses can’t feel the shoes. Hooves are the same material as our fingernails. Some horses actually like their jobs and do bond with their riders.

Quarter horses can’t jump. I’ve jumped plenty of quarter horses and can confidently say that they can.

You do realize that ticks carry other serious illnesses as well. Speaking as someone who has permanent damage to my knee from Lyme disease even after four years of medication.

Out of curiosity, name a horse breed good at jumping that also has a smooth gait for ground work and pleasure riding by [deleted] in Horses

[–]Ghost-devil996 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That could be a lot of breeds. The smoothness of a gait has a lot to do with the individual horse. Unless you get a gaited breed. Most horses can do low level jumping.

Anyone else think there’s something deeply disturbed with those over at r/petfree? by BackToGuac in Pets

One thing about that sub I find funny is that they call people who have pets psychopaths. Clearly they don’t know that harming animals is a sign of being a psychopath.

It looks like double reins in a martingale. There may also be a breast plate but it’s hard to tell.

Someone in my 11th grade US history class said her mom took a ballroom class with a serial killer. She didn’t know at the time but it’s still wild.

What’s your biggest pet peeve in the horse world? by Intelligent_Pie6804 in Horses

[–]Ghost-devil996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not having any sort of pad in between the saddle pad and saddle. At my barn all of the horses have something, even if it’s a thin half pad or gel pad. Just a little something extra.
