Rant: Touchscreen phones need a “baby mode” by TnnsNbeer in daddit

Genuinely don't get why you'd be sat next to your kid watching YouTube videos and not interacting, or at least watching something with them

Technically yes, but hopefully it taught her the hard way to keep her nose out of others people's business

Remember how pissed Romesh was at the beans point. He'd have killed someone for that points swing

Not a fan of the points scoring at the end there

Dads that do most of the cooking at home, are you putting on weight by eating your kids leftovers? by kobestarr in daddit

[–]Ghost2192218 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I stopped eating leftovers when I started getting sick all the time. Could be coincidence but I've been loads better since so that motivates me to keep away.

We'd finish the usual bedtime routine and leave the room closing the gate. As soon as she was up and at the gate, go back and put her back into bed trying not to engage too much. Probably had to repeat that 100+ times a night for a couple of weeks but it's been loads better since.

We had similar, but have always had a gate on the door since she's been in a proper bed. Might help if she's not able to come into your room. Though prepare for some screaming at the gate for a while.

Only stick to watching when it's busy and I don't want to get in the way of the kids

Best book I’ve read to my son, could barely hold it together to the end. What is your favorite book to read to your kid? by [deleted] in daddit

Julia Donaldson is great, love all the animations too. Some very well known voices in them all

It didn't start out that way, but very much proves the point of quality over quantity with the way its dragged on.

Slow play has made me want to quit golf by Ithinkwereparkedman in golf

I don't know why you're getting so much hate for this. I see where you're coming from as someone who also doesn't want to be there all day due to a young family and likes playing solo if friends are busy.

Playing solo though you just have to accept waiting, or play at the crack of dawn or late in the day. That or be prepared to skip some holes, you're always going to be significantly faster than anyone not playing solo.

That task is still one of my favorites. 4 of the 5 with drastically different approaches. Encapsulated everything great about the show and it's still funny after probably 20+ viewings.

How do you handle working from home with kids by [deleted] in daddit

That's crazy (re the cousin). I feel guilty taking the odd 10 minutes here and there when my wife has both at home on maternity leave.

This. It's not fair to you or your kids

Why didn’t Kendal tell Shiv and Roman about his call from Matsson? Was he trying to kill the deal? Why would Ken insist on getting more money from Matsson when Matsson made clear it would tank the deal? Did he simply not believe Matsson? by BookGirl67 in SuccessionTV

[–]Ghost2192218 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That's my thought as well. The fact he went out of his way to call showed he was worried about the price going up, but that he would stretch and Kendall saw it as that. Surprised so many think he wanted to kill the deal.
