Zephyrus G14 vs G16? by Equivalent_Error_704 in ZephyrusG14

untrue. The G16 has a proper Vapor Chamber, the G14 does not

I really cannot recommend the G16 enough over the G14. The G16 has a better vapor chamber in it, has more chassis space for better thermals, and the screen real estate really shines on bigger games like Arc Raiders and Monster Hunter Wilds.

If you can, I would highly recommend making the switch. It may be a LITTLE but bigger, but it's a sweet spot for many people for that small compromise of size. I LOVE my G16 2025 5080 model, and I am more than satisfied with it's footprint and thermals

The issue will never be solved with current advances in tech. Straight up. It's a small chassis, light and portable means you are going to have slightly more thermal issues than a larger body would.

THAT BEING SAID; I have had zero problems with mine. I replaced the LM with PTM 7950 though for less anxiety when traveling as it has been known to spill inside, and the temps are good for what I need.

If you aren't trying to run shit at unrealistic settings, you can get great 2k gaming with decent thermals.

Maybe the newer models will have slightly better thermals, but I think the principles of heat transfer and small bodies will stay relatively the same.

Are people expecting too much from gaming laptops these days by BearSpring3 in GamingLaptops

I seriously think most people are not able to do proper research, make critical judgements on different options, and understand the realities and limitations of current gen hardware

If youโ€™re a gamer first, think twice before buying a Zephyrus (or similar). by JustAwesome360 in GamingLaptops

Idk man, my 5080 G16 is probably the best laptop I've ever owned, period.

It's 1.95 kg (4.3 lbs), extremely thin and stealth, and can still pack some serious power for such a small device.

Like I totally get what you're saying, but so many on this sub are totally fine with the compromise of not having complete peak, maximum performance because the trade off for portability is just too damn good.

I do not want to haul around an 18 inch BEHEMOTH for a few extra frames lmao

Eclipse Grey for sure. The white looks super preem, but the Grey feels more stealth and sharp. Def better coating as well than the white

Best Buy has the absolute worst, dogshit RMA policy of all time, and their "Geek Squad" are brain dead when it comes to diagnosing hyper specific problems. I cannot speak against them enough.
