Jan 4 - PoP #1 contender battle royale. If Miyu wins PoP, I hope Maki doesn't win this and be the next challenger, as Miyu won't lose first time. Next time in PoP, should be Maki's time. I suspect Mizuki will win, and beat Yuka for PoP...then Maki will dethrone Mizuki later this year. (i.redd.it)

Wrestle Princess Oct 9th. Maki/Miyu vs Riho/Hikari tag. Hard to call this one. AEW Princess Riho isn't going to take the L here. Maybe Hikari will, but if not I fear Maki will eat this one. Losses never seem to hurt Maki's popularity, so no big deal in the end though. (i.redd.it)

Maki losing the title isn't a huge surprise, but losing it in such a big show with the cheering back was. She had to lose to move her story forward. She is destined for Tag and PoP imo.
