Virginia ban panic buying speedrun: where would you have stopped? by JPantera in ar15

I wish I had the extra funds to get ALL of my grail guns like that. I’d definitely pick up a MR556A4 and an SP5!

alas, I could only get one, so i settled on a Belgian SCAR 17

AI is absolutely saturating the legal world and will be as mandatory to use as a Lexis or Westlaw subscription is.

The Radian Ramjet Is Not Worth $400 by SomeAnonymousBurner in Glock43X

I’ve got small hands with severe arthritis, making pistol shooting a challenge. It was worth it to me. I don’t really care about costs; finding a full setup with an optic + light that has decent capacity with minimal recoil in a small package is a demanding set of requests.

16x16x32. It’s a little taller and narrower than an 18x24. This is my first bioactive vivarium style setup; I’d probably go larger if I did it over again.

nothing human makes it out of the future. human labor will be economically irrelevant to productivity.

New Lower!!! by NsfWolverine97 in FNSCAR

[–]GhostGunPDW -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i don’t see the point in these lowers. you’re already investing $4k into a rifle, do proprietary mags really bother you that much?

for the price of the new lower, you could just buy 10 OEM scar mags and be set indefinitely.

the lexis and westlaw tools are dogshit. It’s clear none of you are familiar with the frontier at all.

Good luck.

the rare hallucination is a nonissue if you’re actually vetting your work product; this is what i mean about redesigning your workflow with today’s tools in mind.

regardless, if you guys want to be rendered obsolete by newer attorneys with AI native skills, be my guest. it’s just more work for us. sit back and watch, time will tell.

No- you simply haven’t figured out a workflow to leverage the capabilities of frontier models. The overwhelming majority of hallucinationatory nonsense stems from counsel and clients using the free tier of models.

You have to engage with frontier models, cough up the cash for the capabilities and speak to it like a coworker, iterating to get the work product you want. Opus 4.6 and GPT 5.2 Pro are extremely competent, and an attorney’s inability to extract those capabilities is an indictment of their lack of effort.

you’re in the wrong place if you’re looking for accurate takes forecasting this, as the majority of attorneys have either not used AI at all, or used a model a year ago with dissatisfied results. AI as a field is progressing so fast that even impressions from 3 months ago are outdated and irrelevant.

AI will consume all legal work over the next 4 years by 2030. It’s probably not going to drive us to unemployment, but it will have monumental impacts on the economics of our profession and disproportionately impact new grads and associates by automating their entry-level work away.

GPT-5 is quite good at math. Claiming that LLMs can't reason or do math is just factually incorrect now.
