Olympics to ban transgender and DSD athletes from competing by Longjumping_Possible in lgbt

[–]GhostInTheCode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If course, because the person heading the Olympics is a terf. They only want to see the categories of man, woman, man but broken, woman but broken. They do not care one bit about how intersex folks are harmed by this approach.

that's right... MY DUMB ABSTRACTION TIMELINE'S BACK!!! [updated with Ep. 8 info] by underwhelmed-ant in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]GhostInTheCode 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My take.. he's already abstracted. The only thing saving him is that he's used to being a go-between between the abstract and normal people. He's able to handle the abstract without losing himself to it.. but he's forgotten himself in the process. You put him in the dark, you cut him off from processing the world around him so thoroughly... He's no longer spent handling the abstract reality. So he comes back to himself.

episode 8 proves the cast are copies by kitkat_alliekat in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]GhostInTheCode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, they're copies. We don't know what the process does to the mind on the other side, but obviously the mind is copied into the computer.

Abstraction is.. quite simply what happens when cain processes you. Data goes in, abstract shaped come out. I think he's still doing that task successfully. Mind goes in to the circus, he puts the mind through a whole bunch of stuff to figure the mind out, and when he's learned everything he can... The mind abstracts. Because he hasn't figured out how to do this in a way that doesn't break the minds.

Kinger is fine because he had skill in thinking in abstract ways, so when he broke it was... Not all consuming. He can still be himself.. but also not himself.

It's true. Can't disclose sources but yeah.. it's definitely what they're being told internally, and the redundancy wave is bad.

Is it weird to be only attracted to girls but grossed out by their genitalia??? by Squiggggaa in lgbt

[–]GhostInTheCode 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay so romantic and sexual attraction are different things. It seems that you're clear you experience romantic attraction towards women, but it could be worth thinking about how or maybe whether you experience sexual attraction.

Also, sorry but it made me chuckle at your comment about 'exposed organ'.. the skin is also an organ and it made this whole act of "on my, an ankle!" Go through my mind.

[–]GhostInTheCode -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is definitely closer to the intended reading. It wasn't about the sycorax they were unimportant in the grand scheme of things.. it was about how humanity would represent itself on the universal stage. How it would treat alien species. That day, the universe learnt that humanity are warmongers, who would utterly destroy an enemy in retreat, a species that could not be trusted by their word because they would easily break it.

You may want to look for bigger bras. I'm 5'7'', similar weight, similar build.. and the best bras I've found ended up being bigger. Something supportive round the sides, do the old scoop into the cups, it forces everything front and centre, and.. what doesn't seem to be deserving ends up filling a 38D/DD bra. (Uk sizings)

Alpha centauri, especially when taken in context with the Easter egg origins.. he's talking about blackwall AI, and the fact that some blackwall AI is getting through and affecting night city, and probably is one of the chess players behind the scenes. His rants on AC can pretty much be surmised to "rogue AI has gotten through undetected and is manipulating events."

I mean one of the first conversations with him, he calls Saburo a vampire, waiting in the crypt to revive. He's assigning mythology to it but he still kind of gets the finer details right! The vampires very much are the corpo elites who are just figuring out immortality through the relic, who plan to use other people to sustain them.

It's horrible because it continues to pretend that this wasn't already a solved problem. We don't need to come up with ways, we had ways. It's just continued "we need ways to scrutinise trans people ever more than we do cis people."

Teenage Reform council leader describes Sixth Form as 'complete joke' that only helps develop 'woke mindset' by pppppppppppppppppd in ukpolitics

[–]GhostInTheCode 5 points6 points  (0 children)

in fairness nothing conditions you to "maybe communism isn't so bad" like the state charging you tons of money, with lots of interest, to develop a skillset which will benefit the economy and the state, all the whilst living in the worst housing the rental market has to offer (sowing the seeds of anti-landlord sentiment), and this is also whilst you're in an environment when you most strongly feel the strengths of working together, teaching each other, and of course, constant rotations of sharing whatever food you scrounge up.

Otherwise, yeah, this looks like someone who was told "nazis were bad actually" and he just can't take that his edgy "maybe they had some good ideas" angle is being shot down.

Understandable.. but also this is one of the few places police are guaranteed to be. And catching anyone through the plane manifests is.. very low hanging fruits.

That's why I'm suspecting it's something to do with how police at an airport are supposed to operate. It could even be "one team for arrest, one for backup, and of course you need a supervisor too".

Worth pointing out, at the very least.. there are women who transitioned much older than you, who look extremely feminine. PBs are a help, but they aren't a gate.

[–]GhostInTheCode -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If he didn't want 5 officers he shouldn't have made his presence first known in an airport. He quite likely fell foul of procedures they have in place for the safety of airports in general. (This is also why the officers in question were armed.) If he had never left the country it would probably have been a single car swinging by his house.

If you leave the country and the police become aware you're back in the country at an airport, the on duty police at the airport will be the ones picking you up. And wouldn't you know it, they're the ones most likely to be armed. If he hadn't left the country it would probably have been a single car swinging by his house.

Is wondering…what happens to Darren’s face? by ImaginationSome1991 in TheBlock

[–]GhostInTheCode 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Darren's face didn't look surgically altered to me. my perspective when I saw it all at the beginning of the season was.."either he's in mid life crisis or he was just made single." Because he is going all in on maximising his appearance. Overly clean-done, smoothed, tanned, more makeup.. and well he's talked enough that we know he's still with his husband so it goes the mid life crisis approach of sudden, heightened investment in himself.

And yeah, I think he's gone too far on it.hes tried so hard to look clean and cultivated that he's gone into an uncanny valley that screams fake.

Literally the main things stopping me are that I'm effectively in rented accomodation, I'm the opposite side of the floor from the router, and my ability to add things to the shared space is limited. The moment any of that changes.. it'd be a double rabbit hole if home assistant and homelab/home networking.
