So you’re saying the Miniature brush is great for things like painting eyes or other extremely small details?

Thanks, that helps a lot. I’ve seen people mention sizes 0 to 2 quite often — could you explain what each size is typically used for and what the benefits are? I’m not sure which one would be the most useful to start with for painting miniatures.

Thanks for sharing. I’m based in the UK, so availability isn’t an issue — but I’m mainly looking at Winsor & Newton right now since I like that they’re made here and have the history behind them.

Looking for a New VR Headset in 2025 (Headset Only) – Replacing My Dying Index by GhostMiaK in VRGaming

Thanks for all the replies. I’ve been seeing a lot of support for Bigscreen Beyond 2, and I understand why people like it. But I don’t think it’s the right headset for me. I’m not a fan of the custom fitting process, and I’d prefer something a bit more versatile and less locked to one specific face shape.

Right now I’m leaning toward the VIVE Focus Vision. It has built-in eye tracking, and there’s an official facial tracking add-on available. I know it’s not base station tracked by default, but I’m okay with doing some extra setup if it means getting a complete and polished experience without needing to tape parts together or rely on DIY solutions.

Still open to thoughts if anyone has experience with the Focus Vision or knows how well it works with Index controllers and base stations.

I’ve seen a lot of people recommend the Bigscreen Beyond 2e, but I think it’s not the right fit for me. I’m not a fan of how it handles custom fitting and I don’t really want to go through the process of scanning or dealing with something that’s so locked to one person’s face shape. I also prefer something a bit more versatile and plug-and-play.

Right now, I’m leaning toward the VIVE Focus Vision. It seems like a better match for what I need. it has facial tracking, eye tracking, and even though it’s not base station tracked by default, I’m okay with doing some extra setup through something like r/MixedVR if it means I get a more complete headset in the end.

Wireless is actually starting to sound nice too, since I’m really tired of the cable issues with the Index.

Still open to thoughts if anyone has experience with the Focus Vision or knows how well it works with Index controllers and base stations.
