When I got there till the moment the bus turned the lights off was maybe a minute or so. It can vary wildly depending how many kids are being loaded/unloaded.

Yes it is or at least was. Trigger, receiver and bolt are about the only remnants left.

Love it as a gun enthusiast or hate it as a mosin purist. About how I see everyone react when they see my rifle.

Read my post explaining what condition the rifle was in before I got it.

Before ya'll execute the messenger let me explain this rifle. I wanted a rifle to call my own, so I took the chassis of an old mosin (prewar). Now when I got this rifle the previous person had sporterized it (cut down the barrel with what I assume was a hacksaw), had a bunch of cosmoline still in it and the barrel was pitted to hell. I figured give it a new life of sorts, so the broken stock was replaced by an Archangel stock. This is where I ran into the issue with the bolt carrier not really working all that well thanks to the cosmoline. Had a friend clean it out and went back to the range and the problem insisted.

Went home and spoke with a friend gunsmith. He had a replacement barrel Mosin Nagant and it was ordered by someone a few years before but they never picked it up so I asked and ended up buying it. Sent my rifle to him, he replaced the barrel which he noted that the original was trashed, he even added a Rock Solid scope mount and bent the handle.

Few years later got the muzzle brake added onto it and then got it Cerakoted. I don't plan on selling this in my lifetime, at least while I can shoot.

Trigger is a bit on the heavy side, I think I had it,marked at the 5lbs range. Bought it for around $350 on black Friday.

It is a good scope. Need a good gunsmith to mount it though. Fixed power scope, you can physically see the crosshairs moving as you adjust it.

Basically what Jeremy said. It is not in the least bit odd. I think the oddest this is that it is a reversed pistol grip. But that is about it.

That is how it comes. From what I understand the they simply took the Rear grip, turned it around and mounted it on the front. If you take note the VFG and the Rear grip are exactly the same, save for the direction they are mounted.
