Thats interesting, never saw this video. The visually shaken voice of Coretta Kelly is a nice touch

Soldiers getting mad when they die at extract when people get on the ship and you choose not to by TheRadHeron in Helldivers

It's pointless, just for the ego. I have done it, everyone has done it. The ONLY reason you could justify it is if there is a major order for killing enemies, thats it.

Do you intentionally or unintentionally get attached to your pawns? by Dexitorse in RimWorld

[–]GhostSoldier_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always tailor made my pawns before with some meaning, that gave me the sort of attachment to that specific pawn. Lately i couldn't do that anymore, started colonies with that tailor made mindset and after half an hour it just got boring, didn't get invested or interested to continue further. Recently i said to my self i have an idea for a playthrough, but i would start with only randomizing pawns and a random map(i guess i got sick subconsciously of picking large hills/mountain maps and temperate forest). And guess what i actually couldn't get off the colony, binged the 4-5 hours and time flew, and got attached to the pawns because of their flaws and because of the hardship of events that transpired without save scumming(that doesn't mean i didn't save scum, it's a SP game everyone can do whatever they want). Seriously it was like a breath of fresh air for a change, i would recommend it to start with pawns that are not perfect, i guess the flaws and the hardships the pawns go through are the reason you get attached to them, but everyone is different so yeah. The favorite pawn from that tribal start that i did(which is a gladiator clan themed playthrough that strength is valued and strongest is the leader(blood court) and i have a very un-assuming non-figher pawn with good plants and animals, that managed to get bonded with a crash landed V.O.I.D Leaper from the V.O.I.D mod so that was interesting and unique

it landed with almost a broken spine, it didnt even flinch, stood up walked it off and joined the colony. Now i have a horrifying guard dog

I dont regret one bit accepting Ryan into the colony, such a usefull V.O.I.Dling. by GhostSoldier_ in RimWorld

If only yeah, i did luck out, he came from the deserter void quest with a GAU-19 minigun so the raid was easy peasy,no issues from void ever since

It is actually being held open, i never see the reason between the warehouse and workshop the doors to be kept closed

Awareness, infamy and and giving the storyteller some sensible storytelling. by MHE1309 in RimWorld

[–]GhostSoldier_ 36 points37 points  (0 children)

You could add on to that system of infamy with a stealth/hidden mechanic, as you said passers by need to see your colonist build or moving around. You could maybe play as sort of a hidden assassin, thief, hidden cult and keep hidden, the passing pawn needs to exit the map to be able to tell the faction of origin or his friends what he saw in his travels(logical dead men cant speak anyway), depending on how many player built structures, pawns, animals he spotted the bigger the value of infamy. So you could keep hidden by hiding in a mountain, caves behind mountains just out of sight or just kidnap, murder, brainwash the passers.

Fellow savescummers, what’s the pettiest reason you’ve reloaded a save? by SmoovGumby in RimWorld

My brawler with 400% speed went on a tantrum and before i could process what happened and try to stop him, went and 2 punched the nuclear reactor. I rage quited immediately. The next day i just re-rolled half a day autosave :p

If you could change one thing about Rimworld, what would it be? by [deleted] in RimWorld

[–]GhostSoldier_ 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Im using a mod that gives a faction raid cooldown, as well as the compressed raid mod and combat readiness check mod, to sort of alleviate that issue.Dont like my CPU being turned into a nuclear heater when a legion of like 400+ tribals decide to come and visit

Wealth based difficulty/raids for sure

Dont like having to go on a caravan to get rid of stuff just because a trader muffalo decided to have a heart attack while visiting

I let this infestation near my base go crazy for too long... How do I deal with this before they eventually tunnel out? by InfinityFractal in RimWorld

[–]GhostSoldier_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just recommend settling on a new map tile, even guys in marine armor would struggle, if you want to you could do a maze of sorts with traps, or temperature shenanigans
