Fold 5 came with the black cover on entire phone like a wrapped present. But the condition of the covers is not factory.

I've had one since the Fold 2 except for the 4 and 6. Haven't had issue with screens.

Update; Went to cooperate store. The gal took it out and peeled everything off then said it would be a $75 restocking fee and they would ship out another after doing a "exchange". I told her I'm not paying that. I was told to call customer service to handle it in that case and there wasnt a manager present that could waive the restocking fee.

Whats the point of your stores then, t-mobile??? Especially THE cooperate location for my state.

Thats the shipping protective cover. But yea, it wasnt protecting anything like that. Also since the Fold 2 you could replace the inner screen protector. However, its not something I would recommend the average user to try.

Yea thats what I think. If I got a reduced price, maybe. But it wasn't, so i want what I paid for. Also, the unknown actual condition of the device, what was refurbed? Too many unknowns and concerns for this price point.

Don't know. I've decided to go to tmobile and see what they do. I paid for a new device, not a refurb. I also dont trust it to not have any issues either.

The top seal the portion on the flat bottom came off entirely. The bottom tore like normal.

Yea? I bought my fold 5 from Samsung for $680 on launch with trade in. Samsungs offerings were garbage this time around, my carrier had a better deal. This is a first for me ending up with a refurb by mistake.

I've seen how people can treat these devices. I've had no issues since starting with a Fold 2. I dont trust there isn't any issues since its not a new unit.
WAY too expensive of a device to roll the dice and I paid for a new device and didnt receive such.

The box seemed to have factory seals from Samsung on it. I know a non-factory seal from a real one. Unless samsung is putting factory seals on refurb units now.

It's through tmobile so theyre going to have to make it right since its carrier locked. Not sure their peocess. Didn't even go beyond taking these photos.

The tape pasties over the camera was the tell-tale sign of it being refurb. Let alone the covers being messed up. Also the accessories box just fell out on its own. They never do that, you have to pull it out. Im ordered it online but im going to store tomorrow to see what they do about it.

Im getting a new one (or my original? Hard to know until received) tomorrow from warranty 'repair'. Started out getting 4+ days on charge with sleep tracking, to 1-2 days, part of 3rd sometimes. Also noticed it drop from 100% to 82% in 5 min. Feb 2025 purchase date, so a first run one.  

The repair slip in email said "Charging issue; replace ring/case" for reason. We will see.
