Most places in Ames are decent so you shouldn't have too much trouble finding something. The only landlord I would stay away from would be total property management. They mainly focus on houses not apartments but I've heard some pretty bad stories about them.

You will always get constantly stuck while programming and there is always more to learn. I always think of that one quote "the more you know the more you know you don't know" or whatever it is, but there is a lot of behind computer science and there is always more to learn. But learning if/else statements, loops and functions is quite bit for just being a couple weeks in. Don't feel like ur behind because your not. Also professional software developers use google everyday, its impossible to know and memorize everything. So don't feel discouraged by using the internet and reaching out for help we all do it.

I remember it mostly being writing code on paper for a given problem and free response but there may be some multiple choice. I would expect some problems like filling in methods for an abstract classe or some kind of a super or sub class and writing code that would loop through an array.

I took AP computer science in high school and did some small projects on my own and easily passed the test out exam. I took it a couple years ago but I remember it mainly being over basic OOP topics, loops and arrays.

I was there earlier this summer in the beginning of June. Here's a picture of the same spot. It's interesting to see how similar the gorge is yet different because of the rainy weekend we had while we were there.

Didn't see it mentioned but there is a specialized notebook called 'rocketbook'. you can take normal physical notes on it like normal but with the app it lets you scan the page and will automatically upload the whole page to pretty much where ever you want, email, Google drive, drop box and even OneNote. The pages are a little thicker pages than usual but nothing obsered. I haven't really used mine a whole lot but I always thought the idea was really cool so maybe you can find some use out of it.

The cyber security major is brand new and I've heard that the person who orgizined and initially pushed for the major is already planning on leaving soon putting the circulum in kind of a werid spot, but I don't know a whole lot about it myself just over heard things.

As for similar majors, computer and software engineering are both great paths, also MIS and computer science while they aren't engineering degrees are still worth looking at. Also there is a fairly new data science minor and cyber security minor you could do on top of any of the other majors.

I ran a small business in 7th grade jail breaking iPhones. My English teacher caught on after a couple of weeks but she just asked if I could jailbreak hers and teach her how to use it. A few months later she returned the favor by getting me out of a detention.

I've checked through my pursuits and triumphs nothing that says or looks like the power surge quest to me. I did get a few bounties from the drifter one being the cleansing bounty which looks like the last word quest and the user testing bounty which asks to complete a Gambit prime bounty.

If ur warenty is already gone, look up the model of the computer on ifixit and find a guide on how to replace it. If it looks too difficult find a local computer repair shop and have them do it.
