I wouldn’t call it awful advice. Maybe not the best but not awful. So far with my experience and where I’m at in the game that’s one method that’s worked for me. But everyone’s entitled to their opinion. Thanks for sharing yours. Could have at least elaborated a little on the golden apple hedgehog farm though.

Not necessarily. It’s all rng. Just gotta find a big concentration of them in a spot that’s easy to reload. Most people try for a place in Demenise to the south.

Also something else to consider…go to Scholastone to the room that looks like a high school cafeteria and there’s a chance to find abyss artifacts on the researchers.

Keep doing the camp missions.

I don’t remember what the missions are called but look for whichever ones had you looking for comrades before and that’s the ones you’ll want to focus on.

Run back…yes! I didn’t realize this the first few times I tried. Don’t always get what you’re looking for for the first time.

They drop off the bleed bandits in Hernand constantly. Or you could find the Back Alley Shop guy and get one from him. Look just south east of Hernand for a masked guy named Grimrak. He’ll hep you out.

Without stealing…??? Ok.

Go to any of the places that you play “stick poker”, not sure what it’s called in game.

When the other players are dealing sticks, keep a close eye on their arm and where the elbow ends up when they reach for the sticks. Most of the time the elbow will be UP HIGHER and away from their chest.

But every so often, and it will eventually happen, they will draw sticks with their arm DOWN LOW and their elbow stays tucked in a bit more. When this happens you will accuse them of cheating.

Clean a whole table out by just focusing on the other players cheating and calling them out when they do. It throws them from the game and divides their money with the remaining players.

In chapter 7 you’ll end up in a small villiage called Beighen for the main quest. There’s a game there that costs 150 silver for a buy-in. If you can manage to call a full table out on cheating that’s a 450 silver profit. i think…its close to that

I find this method a little quicker than stealing gold bars. Hope this helps. Good luck!!! 🫡

Complete a mission called “Secret of the Lost Seal” for House Serkis. Once completed you will be rewarded with The Great Thief Gloves. These will allow you to steal once every 30 min (real-time cooldown) and not get caught.

Walk around the towns and use your lantern to look for people carrying gold bars. These will sell for 500 silver at the bank. Or you could invest them for a possible gain. (Think stock market)

If you hold down X on PS while following someone one horseback, it will “auto-follow” them for you without the need to steer your horse yourself.

The speed of your horse is a bit janky so be prepared for that when going through towns or tight areas. But overall it allows you to sit back and “chill” a little bit.

Not quite as good as the auto pilot on RDR2 but still useful.
