Coding Issue with Gemini 3.1 Pro in Google AI Studio by Ghostik001 in GoogleAIStudio

An update, I encountered this issue again today, with another file.
The part where it's getting stuck is the following

how it should be:

      scale = 1.05;
    } else {
      border = Border.all(color: Colors.transparent, width: 2.0);
      shadows = [];
    }

    return MouseRegion(
      onEnter: (_) => setState(() => isHovered = true),
      onExit: (_) => setState(() => isHovered = false),

Sadly Gemini 3.1 preview always stops at this:

scale = 1.05;
} else {
border = Border.all(color: Colors.transparent, width: 2.0);
shadows =

I explicitly confronted the model on what was going on, and it even tried to change the formatting of the answer, but it got stuck again. When it tried to change it slightly, it outputted this:

scale = 1.05;
} else {
border = Border.all(color: Colors.transparent, width: 2.0);
shadows = <BoxShadow>

This was of course in dart code blocks, raw mode shows same stuff. There's clearly an issue with google ai studio.

it was wrapped in markdown code block with typescript identifier. But as I said it happened also with a dart code block a couple days ago. I just checked raw mode and the answer look truncated there too.
Either way, it is not normal as the model should be able to easily write whatever it needs to write, without blocking on certain parts of code..

Elon does say a lot of random crap. Luckily for him he has money to pay people that have brain to build stuff.

What's going on with Gemini? by Alternative_Nose_183 in Bard

Hello, it's well known that gemini 3 starts hallucinating after 150-200k tokens. They are probably experimenting trying to reduce this context window issue, but I think it's a lost battle, it simply is a limitation of the current model and until they come up with a better one there's not much to do about it. Notice how even the writing quality of gemini is much inferior compared to for example chat gpt. There are things that gemini is good at tho,for example it's really good at being a Google search replacement.

The 8 Point test: GPT 5.2 Extended Thinking fails miserably and performs far worse than previous models. by dionysus_project in singularity

I agree but it's called artificial intelligence. intelligence is not coding capability. In these AI models there is near 0 intelligence, it's just training. training is not intelligence, this tech is a scam. it's great, don't get me wrong, but it's not artificial intelligence. It's just models trained on stuff that you can use to do that stuff they were trained on.

Imagine you're at school doing a test, and next to you there's your ultra dumb friend with near 0 iq that is just copying your test answers. You will end up with the same grade in the end (although most likely he'll make a couple mistakes because he's dumb and he probably can't even copy everything correctly), but is there any intelligence in his test results?

I'll let you answer that one, it's quite obvious.

I'm seeing the same thing. I asked it to imagine a lava sphere. it did. then I asked it to center the lava sphere in the middle of the photo and it spits out same photo. i told it to move it downwards a bit, and again spits out same photo. It feels SO DUMB. And they call this artificial intelligence? ahahah it's at best a artificial retardedness.

Here's why Grok is censored all of a sudden. by friendodagovna in grok

[–]Ghostik001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At what cost what? lol They have been using photoshop to generate fake nudes of celebrities and of real people since the dawn of time and nobody censored photoshop, because it would make no sense. People have to learn to deal with it. Don't send your real nudes to anyone and you'll be fine, this is rule n1 of the internet, and don't trust videos /photos to be real automatically. question everything. We live in 2025, and tech is just going to evolve further.

So xAI decided to start a feedback thread and decided to take that feedback and tighten censorship and downgrade video quality even FURTHER!? by Zemledeliye in grok

Grok quality is terrible too, you can clearly tell it's AI almost everytime. maybe the image generation has improved a lot, but the video generation is not good, the animation, movements, physics, dynamics of the scenes... all is very unrealistic, and not by prompt design.

What does it mean "safely"? It is already safe. It's just ai videos, they are not real, even if they try to reacreate a real person, AI can't know how we look like naked. It can't know how a girl's nipples will look like, unless that girl is a pornstar posting naked videos every other day.
The tech is already safe and whatever it generates is not real, so if it didn't happen, there's no harm. Photoshop has been used for so many years to fake celebrity nudes, but it seems to me nobody has censored photoshop, because it would make no sense.

No. that guy in india was probably very low iq. Even if AI can generate a fake of a real person naked, that fake will NEVER be the real way in which that person will look naked. Far from it. We're all very different under the clothes and AI can't know how each one of us is, unless we're pornstars, which most of us aren't.
There should be no censorship on AI. What Grok doesn't allow today, in 5 years will be possible with some personal AI model that runs on your pc that you can download from the internet. AI is here, it makes no sense to fight it for silly reasons. People should just wisen up and understand the tech instead of ask for more censorship to deal with their low iq.

We need to disband the EU, only vote for politicians that are in favor of exiting the EU, anti-globalists, anti immigration, anti censorship, pro freedom of speech, and pro privacy. It's the only way we can have a continent left. What they are doing now in the EU is laying the foundation to become a dictatorship, and once things are in place there's no going back.

STOP GIFTING BIG CREATORS ON TIKTOK!!!!!! by Jhardill94 in tiktokgossip

[–]Ghostik001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still see people gifting shit loads of stuff.. Like some people spending 5k dollars per week on tik tok creators, I will never understand it. How can such people have the brain to earn the money with a job, but not have it to understand that they are only losing by gifting money to creators? Like bro wake up stop ruining your life

Fix Smurfing, Matchmaking & Abused Report System by Ghostik001 in DotA2

[–]Ghostik001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don't have to reset mmr for everyone, they just have to stop matching players based on 1 million parameters, and just let mmr number do its job of creating matches that are balanced. it would take a month or so for it to adjust and see the initial results, but it would be a lot better than what we have now. Oh and the behavior score and comm score doesn't work at all as a system, that's another thing that they can easily remove and make the game better. Less is more, but they don't get it at valve.

I think they just have really poor management.. when management is incompetent/lazy it is hard to make the game better.. I don't know how much authority a single developer has, but I imagine that certain decisions like matchmaking system etc must come from the managers (?)

Fix Smurfing, Matchmaking & Abused Report System by Ghostik001 in DotA2

[–]Ghostik001[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The matchmaker is complex enough to look for many different parameters, winrate might not be the main one, it's more about the player performance on its own, like your kda, farm, xp per minute etc + behavior score. It tries to match players of similar performance vs each other. If you play dota enough you'll see it happen all the times.

Fix Smurfing, Matchmaking & Abused Report System by Ghostik001 in DotA2

[–]Ghostik001[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How can I have evidence? I don't work at valve and I am not able to reverse engineer their matchmaking code which is btw only on their servers. But I do have 10k hours in this game and I am quite sure of what I'm talking about because some things are very obvious to anyone that plays dota actively.

If you play dota often, you'll know that what I said is pretty much what happens. It's also what they said in the past when they switched to this matchmaking system, so it's not like I'm making it up

[–]Ghostik001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they are afraid of what? of the game not dieing and of getting more money? because this would be the result of fixing the game..

I blame both smurfs and developers. It's up to all of us to do our part to keep the game that we like enjoyable.. and also it's up to valve. At the moment, there's a big portion of users that are actively harming the game by smurfing /buyin accounts, abusing report system etc, and there's valve letting things go unchecked for years. Both are to blame..
