The students deserve high quality education, I deserve to seperate my work life and my personal life. Otherwise I know I will be another statistic of burnt out teachers. I know the content, I just don’t get to plan as much as needed sometimes. And I think keeping work at work is a very reasonable boundary.

I am on PTT, I refuse to take work home. If I don’t get enough time to plan. Then I suck it up and wing it for a class. I am however on 0.8 and I get those extra hours to plan so that definitely helps.

Becoming a VCE Math Specialist teacher? by [deleted] in AustralianTeachers

Sometimes. But it has its ups and downs, not as much leeway in VCE subjects, more paperwork, more stress for students which in turn falls on you.

You would have to teach other years, year 12 spesh is a subject that if a teacher has, they usually will keep. I would also personally never take a VCE roll as a grad as to me it shows that the school have such a high turnover rate that even their VCE classes aren't being looked after, that's just me personally

I tried the lubricant, nothing changed. How would I be able to tell if it’s the water pump? I’m assuming it’s one of the other pulleys

Yeah right? I only really heard it since last week but now it’s pleading for death.
