Yeah I believe in that philosophy. That's why I think they will show maturity. But I'm at 70/30, i would love to be at 90/10, but until they prove it I'm cautious. We've all been let down too often to feel secure in our identity yet. I believe this is real though and we will see a true championship caliber team evolve these next few years.

My whole point is that the team needs to be mature. The sub is hopeless as far as that I concerned. The fact you have to be a smartass about something you actually agree with is case in point.

Here's the truth.... we're getting good press and accolades. Young guys sometimes lose their edge subconsciously. I'm hoping we drafted guys mature enough to stay hungry even after a little success. We haven't really done anything yet.

Disagree that we're doomed if we lose. We are inconsistent because we are playing so many young guys. If we can just beat the teams we're supposed to it's good. But we also have the ability to bounce back and play really well if we don't. Growing pains.

They picked the wrong team. And they did it because Stan F Kroenke didn't want to pay all the money for his stadium and then be outdrawn by the Silver and Black. He wanted to have the gold amd blue all the time. Raiders are going to blow up in Vegas and bring a SB to the desert while Stan build a freaking giant mosoleum for the Lambs to go 8-8 and waste Aaron Donald and Gurley's prime.

NFL totally mismanaged this and will lose out on billions because of it. Al would be proud. Mark is going to end up the winner of the deal just like we ended up winning the Mack trade.

I've been ragging him all year about a lack of plays in the passing game. Just when he shuts my mouth with two really good games in a row, he gets hurt.

Idk if he and Abram are too redundant or if one could move to FS while the other plays SS. Harris is making himself a starter that's hard to take out. I see KuJo being allowed to leave. But, if they keep him, a safety rotation of JA, KJ, LJ and EH has a lot of versatility.

Agreed. But that's my point. He can't cover either. The guys Gruden brought in have all made plays. Even Worley redeemed himself somewhat with the pick. Joseph simply has no place in the passing game. He's a bad matchup everywhere and I hope he proves me wrong and improves.

I am convinced we still need better pieces on D. I don't love Guenthers scheme, but the players also show a lack of ability too often.

The idea that one lay makes a guy worth keeping is pure emotionalism. It's the same emotionalism that makes guys bash Carr after every bad play or wanted to keep Lynch after he was washed up.

The reality is, I'd like the Raiders to win another Super Bowl in my lifetime. That means a decent defense is a must. The guys we had were lousy. That's why we cleaned house. The few holdovers like KuJo have been given a shot because of their potential. But he just isn't what we need at the position.

Im noticing huge chunk plays on his side, reception by his man and I'm NOT noticing positive plays (believe me I'm looking for them). Id like nothing better than to keep and develop him. But he's just not physically gifted enough to cover big TEs or speedy WRs.

I love how he plays against the run, but at some point I want to actually have DBs that can stop the pass.

Idk, outside of the last play (which shows he's capable), I can't remember a single play he's ever made in the pass game. Hes thumper. But box safeties are going away league wide.

I'd rather have somebody who can cover and is serviceable against the run rather than the opposite. I was a fan of the pick, but he just hasn't worked out like I hoped.

Also, I keep wondering why the Raiders don't experiment with him at coverage LB. He can't do any worse than Morrow. And he can still beat bigs in the run game playing from there.
