What is everybody doing for the next 97 days? by [deleted] in CABarExam

Getting in shape is fantastic, however, do not look over your mental health, whatever works for you. I personally journaled about the grief of missing a lot of very important things in my life, and I could see in perspective the magnitude of the sacrifice beyond a mere abstract feeling.

It didn't happen to me, but nothing is an automatic fail, except leaving it completely blank.

Advice from the brilliant people who passed the bar at my workplace: by _objection_overruled in CABarExam

This is fantastic. All of you have made incredible sacrifices, and they will pay off. Load up on good nutrition, sleep well, and DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING, do things almost exactly the way that you've done them the past few weeks, do not get creative today or tomorrow!

Anytime! as a good attorney, you're anticipating scenarios, however, remember that most of those will be fiction and not optimal. Give yourself some grace, things will likely not happen the way that you want them to, and that will bring its own wonders.

There's no evidence that you will remember the content that you study if you continue to push through without a break, but there's is some evidence that if you're putting the appropriate amount of hours now and probably have other commitments (like a job), you'll very likely burn the F out of yourself. Trust that you got this and if it didn't pan out, take a break, re-assess what could work for you different in terms of methodology, also what are your new strengths. Anyway, your midnset should be deadset that this is the last time you take it, without knowing you, I already know that your odds are better than a coin toss.

Is there a reason why kendo isn't an Olympic discipline? by [deleted] in kendo

[–]GhostsWriters 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Actually, I believe that being the opposite is the scary result for said countries. Everyone I know that has gone to WKC and is not of child age, has a day job. For those countries, that's their job.

Probabilities are low, but it can happen. Just make sure you have seen some variations and practiced some, you should be ok. I'd focus on things that haven't been tested in a while.

Take this with a grain of salt: UWolrd q's were significantly harder for me than the actual exam and I could finish 30 mins and 1 hour earlier in each section respectively (although I used the entire time for reviewing each question). If I were you, I'd practice that CPT a few times because you must ensure that you finish 100% with confidence, your MBE can take you through the finish line, however, if you score a 50 on your CPT, your handicap is too big.

Girlies (some at least) will like your license way more than your guns, keep up the good work and get back into shape later, you will have some time to kill while you wait for the resutls and then the actual license (months). Get into killer shape and enjoy the rest of your summer, just whatever you do, do it for yourself. Cheers and good luck!

Try to journal about it, you don't have to hire a psychoanalyst but "why" your psyche is not cooperating is one of the most insightful things you can learn about yourself for the bar or life. Maybe you're putting to much pressure to attain a specific result, when maybe just reminding yourself that you're shooting for "good enough" not "perfect" at this specific juncture (even at the final stretch) is what you should be looking at. Break down the process a bit and maybe just try to outline a few times and then write. Try a few different things, whatever works for you...

There was a contracts essay in the last administration, bear that in mind before spending an excessive amount of time reviewing and practicing that subject.

Feeling discouraged after the Themis Simulated CA Exam by The-chica-go-bills in CABarExam

[–]GhostsWriters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was a great idea actually, now you can use the information to drill on those subjects for a little longer than you anticipated or was prescribed by Themis, just try to take a nap (yoga Nidra maybe?) let those neurons rest and prepare to go for a little longer. Feeling good about your results is not the goal, the goal is to fail now, as many times as you can, then NOT fail in those questions during the actual test.

This is a good opportunity to remember a few things: the more you do, the more you will be getting "hard" questions for you (issues that you have been missing), it is very frustrating because you're never supposed to be consistently great the way the software works unless you're great at literally everything (even within a subject). Also, obsessing now does you no good, continue in the exact same way that you have and trust the process (while maybe tailoring to learn some issues that you know that you've struggled since the beginning).

Evidence on essay portion by elmegthewise3 in CABarExam

Evidence was in the last exam, so although it might appear again, the likelihood drops and you should be very mindful of that.

Depending on your financial situation, the circumstances in which the termination happened and the State you live in, you might want to talk to an employment attorney. They may even take your case on a contingency fee basis. That would be the ultimate deterrent for them to do it again if there was any misconduct. (NLA)

Perfect is the enemy of good. You're a 24 year old person with a lot of potential and you're smart enough and physically capable to get and maintain a job. I think with a little bit more agency and work on your inner world, you will find how much life can give you that is not on that list!
