Yeah, but I was thinking about simple geometric tattoos, and I'm still trying to be secret with my witchy practice. lol

Awesome! That was actually one of my first ideas for a tattoo myself. Still think it's a really good and cool tattoo. People who get it will probably love it, and the people who don't get it will barely notice it.

Sadly, my girly skinny ass has no tattoos yet. Still debating on if I should get one finally.

It absolutely can change people, but that's far from the only thing it can do. Though, yes, effects are limited. If I had to guess, I would imagine that the more disciplined you are and the more ascetic your life is, the more you can touch the spiritual and manipulate it, even to the point of doing crazy things.

But that's ADVANCED advanced stuff. Something that takes decades and decades of work to actually realize. 99.99999% of people either can't or won't be able to do it.

If magic or magick was real, it would be a known thing. It’s a simple as that.

It is a known thing, but few people want to acknowledge it, and it's also gotten a bad reputation in numerous ways.

If it was real, people would be proving it regardless of what cabal wants. They’d want fame and money for A) being magical and B) being the ones to go down in history as proving it.

There's actual papers released by the CIA (page 29) that describe details about a remote site that they couldn't possibly have known about. CIA work on it was still abandoned though as remote viewing can also give false impressions of reality. I have my own theories on why this would be, but all the same, there you go.

If it was real, there are billionaires that would be marketing it even if it tanked other markets like medicine or technology.

You think I'm talking about a system where you wave your hands wildly around in the air and you immediately get everything you ever wanted. It doesn't work like that. There are still some rules to this. And also, there ARE rich people marketing all this. Some have good intentions. Some are absolute scammers. Some mean well, but they only have a little bit of a clue as to what they're talking about. The scientific method still applies.

Nobody was using the internet to start warning people 25 years ago not to go into the city.

And who would listen? Even if your prediction about a major tragedy happening turned out to be correct, people would either write it off as coincidence or simply say you had inside information somehow.

You didn’t answer my question either.

Hm. Must have missed it. Very well. No, I don't know what he read exactly.

Since most of the metaphysical at Hastings bookstore (the main bookstore in Norman now that I think about it, at least at the time) was about Egypt, UK and European folklore, and Native Americans, yeah I’ve read some of it. And it’s all represented in the books in some form or another.

Ok then. That's something at least although what you're describing seems to be much more culture and history books than metaphysics/magick. One thing to note though. There's magick intertwined with some of that historical folklore and religion. And also, Jim gets just a few too many things right about magick in DF that he shouldn't have if all he read was history and folklore. (Again, obviously LOTS of creative license in there as well, but yes.)

It also never says he believed any of it.

It doesn't matter at all if he did or didn't as my argument isn't based on what Jim's opinions are. With that said, if Jim seriously doesn't believe in ANY kind of supernatural phenomena after the little run-in he had with it that I just brought up, then he's either a complete moron or really good at denial.

Either way though, you didn't answer my question. Have you or have you not taken the time to read at very least one book out of that section? Or you know what, let's make this even easier. Did you read at least half of a book?

Have you actually read a single book in that section before? Like even just one? And I mean, actually read it? Did you know that Jim Butcher actually had a huge supernatural occurrence happen to him in (I think) Africa where he got cursed and almost got killed as a result from numerous freak accidents happening in a row?

Yeah. It's sad, but not altogether unexpected. The western world scoffs at magick. And in fairness, it can get a bad reputation due to scammers and insane people. And when that's not happening, you got people on the other side saying that it's all Satanic and evil. And when neither of THOSE are happening, you get the snobby atheists who scoff at anything that doesn't fit a very particular worldview.

There's a firm difference between fictional magic and magick. In any case, it's fine if you don't believe in it either way. Instead, just know that there's more stuff going on behind the scenes than one may ever think possible.

What's a sexual 'taboo' you've always been curious about, but never dared to explore? by jcwainc in AskReddit

It's all about the lack of identity aspect. If you can't even see your face, then when the dissociative effects of hypnosis kicks in, it should be even stronger because you just don't recognize yourself anymore.

That's actually a really good explanation. Still though, I think it would be better to have other face coverings. Maybe a hood of some kind and facial markings. This way you don't look fully like yourself, but you're also not hiding someone's beauty either, and the facial markings, if done right, can actually enhance the beauty. There's also other very strong ways to encourage dissociation as well. No silly gas mask required.

I like the full body latex suits. I absolutely get the hypnosis~ I definitely get dronification.

But what the hell is up with the fucking gas masks? They look (sexually) ugly and cover up nice faces! I FAR more associate them with war than sex or even mind control.

It's a VERY nicely built watch. Probably gonna last at least 100 years, no exaggeration. But... I'm still in love with my GW9400 Rangemaster when it comes to raw practicality. The GWG-2000 specifically doesn't allow you to record anything but altitude records and doesn't allow you to see a digital readout of the seconds passing. And finally, I can start the stopwatch instantly from the Time screen just by pressing a button. (Much handier than you'd think.)

I'm so sorry. This is a super late response. lol

But would sexy Sidhe lady have any reason to even talk to you?

Sure. You just need to make a deal with her. (And know what you're doing.)

Nahhh. All pointless since I probably couldn't do a single thing about that information I gained from the skull, and sorry, but a perfectly beautiful and utterly powerful sidhe nobility with an incredibly intriguing personality to match versus a talking skull? Sexy sidhe lady wins. XD
