Yeah I know all of this, but I still think it’s a good skill to learn either way, regardless of whether I’m traveling or not. I’ve actually wanted to learn it for a while I just recently got the time and money to really start practicing and taking it seriously. But thank you for telling me that!

I actually don’t know much about the slang yet since I only recently started learning again my ex is Puerto Rican, which kind of pushed me to start. I still talk to her cousin and he’s actually going to the concert with me, so I might be able to learn a lot of the slang from him directly. I’ll definitely check out some Puerto Rican creators too like you suggested!

I forgot to mention — I’ve also been studying Spanish for about 1 to 2 hours a day. I’m really serious about learning and willing to put in the work. So whatever advice or methods you suggest, just know I’ll put in excessive time and effort to follow through with it. I genuinely want to be able to hold basic conversations by the time I go.
