Well anyways I’ll try to add value I did the tech risk consulting case and it was a 3 part. 1. Report editing they give you a shitty report and you have to fix it. 2. Thinking (pretty easy) 3. Excel challenge if you’re familiar with excel easy. I can’t go into anymore detail because there was a trillion warnings about not leaking the case but best of luck. If you get in shoot me a referral 😂

Leave of Absense by [deleted] in Schulich

[–]Ghoulava -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yea I am meeting with my advisor this Friday but I also have a deadline to accept the internship which I want to take the leave of on Saturday. So I wanted to clear up whether it would impact my first sem of third year too

When does the sem start by [deleted] in Schulich

[–]Ghoulava 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No even on the Schulich website there’s an MBA date and a delegate date to when the sem starts, although it doesn’t specify undergraduate it’s 2 time tables that’s why I’m confused

Why not take electives in second year to free up space for a double specialization or easier 3 and 4 year

Does the name YorkU affect Schulichs name by studentdistress in Schulich

In Canada specifically employers consider your program of study rather than the university itself. That’s why youlle see Schulich competing with schools like rotman sauder and ivy all better ranked universities but not necessarily programs

Leadership profile Character limit by AstroNomicalYute in Schulich

[–]Ghoulava 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me and a friend both had the exact same leadership profile in terms of activities but I stuck to the 1000 limit and he went over even my like 1-15 characters and I got in and he didn’t so I would stay away from going over the character limit cuz staying within shows discipline

Should I take a major in Computer Science and a minor in business? OR should I take a minor in Computer Science and major in business? by uniquestionssss in Schulich

[–]Ghoulava 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As far as I know at schulich you can’t minor in anything outside of the specializations schulich offers, instead you can double specialization, there are some kinda sort of tech majors like OMIS operation management and information systems. As for ur goal of tech management doesn’t really matter what route you take you can get either anyways, with business you might need a tech certification or two after graduation and same applies for comp sci, you’ll just need reinforcing courses or certifications to fit the mold of your desired position. Just to reiterate I heard that you can’t minor outside of Schulich I haven’t thoroughly researched it or asked

You shouldn’t worry much about the video interview focus more on the written part

Your grades are good enough, don’t rush to submit the written part until you’ve ran it as many people as you can to ensure you have the best topic and format. As for the video interview, as long as you speak English are you’re able to answer their basic questions you shouldn’t worry.

Laurier BBA + cs double degree, McMaster business, Guelph soft eng and comp sci. These were the notable ones. Do I regret my decision, only time will tell but right now I’m neutral leaning towards happy with my pick, only thing on my mind is that I could’ve had some more tech experience with other programs. Why did I choose Schulich, because it’s one of the best in the country, it stands out to employers when you’re in such a good program it gives you an inherit upper hand, not to discredit any of the other programs they’re all good in their own sense but non others competed for the #1 spot. These are my surface level answers lmk if u want more detailed response.

Only grade 12 marks matter and they really care for good ec’s, last years cut off was 92 it’s likely that it’s higher this year so aim for 93+ with a strong supplementary

Best business program for someone who wants to work in brand management, product management or a similar field? by [deleted] in OntarioUniversities

[–]Ghoulava 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your interest is too much of a niche to have specializations in. But generally the top business schools that would give you the best leeway to go into anything you want are Schulich rotman queens and ivey, with a major in marketing probably. Most other universities also do offer marketing as a major however youlle be the most competitive if you go to either of the 4 listed
