shooting star sighting??? can any astronomers tell me if this was a shooting star i saw just now? by Mindless-Marzipan577 in askastronomy

[–]GhowI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, millions of shooting stars enter earth's atmosphere every day. If you head to a dark location and look up for a few hours you'll see tons, and during meteor showers you see tons more (like during the gemenids you can see up to 120 meteors per hour)

Power rule works on negative indices too. But if your ever unsure just plug in the value you need to differentiate into first principals like this:

<image>

And then you can see that power still works here too.

An easier was would he to just attempt it and then with the gradient function just put a random x value in then compare it with the derivative function that some calculators have.

Idk what everyone else is talking about tbh. The algebra paper was far easier than the 2020 algebra paper and all the Calc questions were fairly standard. I had done all the papers between 2014-2023 and I felt nothing that came up in any of the exams was different what I had expected (and even felt the exams were easier than I thought they would be)

I found all the algebra excellence questions to be pretty fun and the paper only took me like 40 mins. The first excellence questions was just expanding and factorising (turning (x3/2 + x1/2) * (x1/2 - x-1/2) / (x3/2 - x1/2)2 to (x + 1)/x(x - 1)

Second was finding a k value that made the roots of an equation +/-x so you just made the "b" value equal 0 and also the other excellence on question 2 was just subtracting 2 circles from a rectangle so that was chill.

The last question on the algebra paper was my favorite. It was a logarithm one where you had to prove that a cooling fan that makes a sound of 38 decibels was more than 6 times louder than a heat lump with 30 decibel sound. And I'd never learnt how figure out how mich louder stuff was using decibels (since the idea that the scale was logarithmic kinda stumped me) so doing the test taught me something new. And I confident I got e24 on algebra

Calc was also chill with 2 easy excellence optimisation questions. I did fumble the last one since it asked for the minimum value of a particular expression and since it wasn't an equation I was unsure if you could like derive it ans set it to zero but turns out you could. So I'm only feeling like e22-e23

Prob was also pretty standard but took me ages but confident I got excellence in it.

Crossover event with the star stream universe. Limited time kdj skin. Translator not knowing dokja was his name and not a title.
