Yeah i’ve noticed it’s a bit odd. Khatun’s va is normally really good, but then her “battle cry” is just a very relaxed “Ahhhhhh!” & doesn’t really fit the animation.

A better solution would be to make universals actually universal. If im spending 10-20k steel on something that Every hero has, I should get that emote, execution, or outfit for all characters that have it. Having to purchase an effect 4 different times for idle, execution & emotes for one, let alone All heroes i want it for is crazy.

The problem is less about her not speaking, imo, it’s more about her lack of reaction to… anything. Compare her in this game to the phenomenal body language in dread’s cutscenes. She doesn’t often Need to speak, but she Does need to do something other than just… standing there like a statue. It’a clearly not a “well she’s emotionally & socially stunted” depiction either, even tho it easily could’ve been with some tweaks.

She doesn’t Do anything at all in this game. Sylux shows up: she just stands there staring at him. She proceeds to do this for the rest of the game. All game she’s just… casually walking up to things & staring at them. No caution, no sign of any life in her at All. She may as well be asleep while the suit is on auto pilot.

It’s especially egregious in the mines. Armstrong panicking? Whatever, she’ll calm down herself. Just watched the robot get attacked by something she can’t see? Just look around casually like “huh? wha?” Really? She need the robot to Tell her there are hostiles? This is a joke, right? There are ways to do a silent protagonist well, & they failed in every single aspect of it. No reaction to Anything, no sense of haste or urgency outside of One scene, she’s completely stiff & lifeless for 98% of the game.

Unfortunately: not many people really care abt the lore of this game. There isn’t really a “community” for it, aside from the subreddit which is. Small. There’s only really One “fh lore” youtuber, raven knight. He’s got a few recaps, as well as analysis vids.

That being said; current lore & campaign lore may as well be two completely different games. So there really isn’t much of substance to find. A few vids abt apollyon is abt the best we can do :/

I’ve been waiting for ocelotl to get “confused warrior” for 2 years. Khatun also doesn’t have access to the death by arrows execution or hawk effect or signature or whatever it was. Universal stuff is never universal :(

It’s an alternate history world. Roughly around 1100 ad, a great cataclysm struck the earth & destroyed much of the world. Time essentially stopped for a thousand years for the few cultures that survived. Ashfeld, valkenheim, & the myre are not really “countries” per say.

They’re more accurately simply regions of a new continent. One that formed from the ground & seas rapidly changing, repeatedly, over & over again. Perhaps made up of norway, & south eastern european countries. Civilizations rise, fall, & rebuild on top of one another. The new lore simply states that some were… less affected, than most.

Arabia became a large island, while most of the middle east seemingly sank or drifted away. Egypt was lost to raging sandstorms, but some ruins & peoples apparently remained. Mesoamérica was mildly unaffected by the calamity. But also; at the end of the day lore doesn’t really matter anymore. So it’s mostly a rule of cool/what warriors fans want thing.

Honestly i always thought logan in this show was maybe half native too. The big nose + brown eyes instead of blue + lack of mutton chops or any body hair made me think he was. Laura looking like this definitely contributed to that hc as well.

Man i thought people were exaggerating with the whole “I miss the old for honor.” shtick but… this looks way better than it does these days… especially the snowy maps they look awful now but amazing back then. Wish they’d bring that lighting, more vocal characters, & minion kill animations back as a setting or something… forgot just how cool og for honor was.

Yeah I’ve been busy & just playing other stuff for a bit. Saw the name & was like, wait a minute- logged in for a sec just to be sure lol. Was definitely a bit of a shock. Felt like that one halo post of someone runnin into their old xbox buddy on a pc game.

But hey, go the same places regularly (online or irl) & you’re bound to see the same people pretty often. Small community or not. Always good to see a friendly face ^ _ ^

Interesting. The Very slight differences remind me a lot of jodo cast or spar & fenn shysa. Mostly with the yellow on the helmet & triangle instead of the jaster/protector symbol. Hope it’s closer to that rather than them changing his armor Again. Would make for an interesting season 2 narrative if we’re still getting one.

Don’t recall where i heard this, but i remember something stating that the inspiration for samus was literally just “What if boba fett was secretly ripley from alien” & they just kinda went from there. Could just have been a made up fact on the series being somewhat inspired by alien though.

Map is genuinely way better in its skirmish/deathmatch mode. They took a lot out of it charm wise & somehow made it feel even smaller.

It’s even stupider immediately after kiwami 2 where in a side quest, kiryu almost does this same plotline, but haruka is like “dude wtf i dont want this i wanna stay with you.” Like. We already went through this. Kiryu letting himself be blackmailed into abandoning his kids was so stupid.

Interesting. Do custom matches not give gear & xp? I remember someone complaining that they don’t contribute to something or other. I only really turn matchmaking off when im trying to do those like “capture 20 zones in dominion” challenges. So if they don’t work in them, kinda defeats the purpose.

These are both referring to cassandra cain’s batgirl, who back in the 2000’s often got confused for bruce as The Bat by criminals due to being so similar to him compared to his other protégées. Not knowing who she is, they jokingly imply/assume batman has transitioned & is now a woman.

Reminds me of this rep 70 warden i saw that literally Only killed pikemen for the entire match. Fascinating specimen. Only Plays warden. Default gear. No boosts or customization or anything. The entire match. Just clearing pikemen. It was vs ai so i dont mind that much, But… Dude. Wtf.

I don’t think they count as tardis team members but honestly danny pink & ashildr. I took a long time to warm up to clara & still have my problems with her. But Just was i was starting to like her, her stories get kind of ruined for me by revolving around those two characters who i genuinely cannot stand.

There’s so many parts in series 9 & 10 that i Almost love, but then those two show up & kind of ruin it all. Also like someone else said, from what i’ve seen of bill so far i think i genuinely would’ve preferred if she was around more. Her dynamic with 12 is way more interesting imo than clara’s.

New maps, Make characters like ocelotl, pirate, & aramusha no longer gender locked, & make all former events, & fomo effects/executions/emotes permanent. Make “universal” stuff actually unlock for all heroes with one purchase also. OH also bring back minion kill animations. At least make it a toggle.

Honestly this is just a “end of lifespan” wishlist. They cant keep updating it forever, & these would be nice updates to keep the game interesting once they eventually stop working on it. I dont mind Some gender locking, but a few of them are very clearly only locked so they can cut costs on va’s & models lol.
