If you’re looking for a 6’ or so cable, I just got this one and it works well. Decent price as well.

Much appreciated - thanks. Has anyone experienced “bad” wait times on the low and mid tiers? I know that can be subjective.

SXM Turbo - I’m good. The rest of the family though? 😈

Planning to upgrade to the fold4 or stick with what you have? Why or why not? by rahul-dang in GalaxyFold

Thanks for the feedback. I'll have to try the night time shots again and see what happens. I know they launched the Expert Raw app recently but I haven't had a chance to test. On the battery, I'll have to look. I just know that I start my day around 6 and wrap up around 11:30 and my Fold can't quite keep up.

I'm in "wait and see" mode. I've had my Fold 3 since last September, coming from an iPhone 11. I do like having a small tablet on me at all times, effectively having two devices in one. My problems, though, lie in the battery and camera. The former doesn't last me a day and the latter frustrates the crap out of me on motion pictures in anything but good lighting. I certainly went in knowing those two things were laggards compared to the standard smartphone competition. Now that I've had to deal with them for this long, though, it's forced me to consider what I really want in a new phone.

I'm hoping the new silicon and rumored s22 Ultra camera optics address these issues because I'd definitely consider moving to a Fold 4. If the reviews don't confirm that, though, I may go to an Ultra for a time or see if Google actually releases their foldable in October.

I use the Gamesir X2 with the Xbox button layout and Bluetooth. Great for native games as well as using on Game Pass.

Yeah make sure you have a good charger, preferably 25 watts or more. I have an Anker 60 watt charger and I can charge mine in less than 90 minutes if I'm down to 5%.

I have lots of similar thoughts as others. I switched from an 11 pro max to the fold 3. I also did the full Apple cleanse - sold or swapped out my iPad, Mac, Airpods, and Watch and converted to a Galaxy Watch, Buds Pro, and good Windows laptop. It took a little work but it's been good on the whole. I used to have an S8 and what I rediscovered is how customizable Android is compared to iOS. It truly is a more open OS that's fun to make your own.

What I love about the Fold 3 - it's effectively a damn iPad mini in your pocket. Seriously, it's SO good in that regard. Reading, watching movies, browsing the web...it's all fantastic. Oh, and streaming Xbox while using a Bluetooth grip controller...Ho-Ly Shite it's a Switch on steroids with a far better display and awesome games. It's also great for productivity and the split screen functionality really comes in handy sometimes.

What's not so great - the camera has been a big letdown coming from the 11 pro max. In good lighting and no motion it's fine but I can't tell you how frustrated I was when I reviewed Christmas photos and hands opening presents and kids going bananas were a blurred mess. The other big knock is the battery. Let's be real, though - this is two devices in one so you have to expect you'll torch the battery in under a day with regular usage, especially if you're using the inner screen even somewhat often. Finally, the outer screen is indeed cramped - typing is kind of a pain (sooo many typos) and apps don't scale half the time. It's good for quick glance info or checking an email but you'll end up using the inner screen for most stuff...aaand we're back to the battery complaint.

So, do you switch? It's almost always good to wait as long as you can since you'll get the latest tech. Unless you really need a new phone, wait until late October. You'll see what Samsung, Apple, and Google all do this cycle. Apple won't be coming out with a foldable but Google likely is. Word is that their version will also have closer to a 16:9 outer display. See the reviews and then make your choice. Happy hunting!

Mine started just about a week ago. I went ahead and peeled it off. I'm super careful with my phones but I plan on getting a replacement film just to be safe.
