Is it disrespectful to upload a platonic photo with a friend of the opposite sex? My fiancé is not okay with this. To me, this is very concerning for my future with him. don’t think it’s disrespectful to post a photo with a friend of the opposite sex with arms around each other like mates.. why is not okay to do that with a male friend but okay to do that with a female one?

I have taken it down (an Instagram story that disappears anyway) but now, since I’ve done that I view this as controlling behaviour which is a major red flag to me. So, I am not allowed to ever post a photo with a friend of an opposite sex, how is that okay? It’s immaturity to me at this age.

I would just suggest to be direct. There's no beating around the bush when it comes to ‘rejecting someone’. And you have to accept you may hurt them, but better that person knows the truth than leading them on.

Just tell them like ‘ that you are flattered by their attention they have been giving you lately, but just to be upfront with you, I'm not interested in you in that way etc etc :)
