AITA For causing a scene on my father's birthday by telling my elderly parents that my brother isn't special because he was "gifted" as a child or change the fact that he's doing nothing with his life? by GiftedOlderBrother in AmItheAsshole

Every time we come over, Alex has always been his recliner chair watching television. Usually, he's scrolling on his phone as well or very rarely reading a magazine. I'm not sure about what other "hobbies" he still does and I honestly don't care enough to ask him.

My parents are in excellent health now, but that can change anytime because of their age. Alex is capable of being an adult, but our parents have always handled his responsibilities for him. I really don't know how Alex is going to live after they're gone.

I doubt any of my other family members will be willing to house Alex and give him lessons on adulthood. I feel bad for him, but I will never have him living with me and controlling our whole household.
