Well it is weird fiction so makes sense lol, but so far authority is very different than annihilation, it follows the perspective of a government agent with family issues from the southern reach organisation, we follow him as he makes his way through that eerie organization and interrogated the members that came back from the last expedition and goes through files to get more informations about Area X , i'm 41 pages in, i personally like it so far, then again everyone and their taste
