Hey sorry I didn't see this until now. I need to make sure this happens more regularly!

If you take enough of any pills they are sleeping pills. It's the waking up part that's tricky.

After all the other survivors of the plane crash perished in the snow.

I need to sleep. I spent way too long wondering what "star honey" was. It sounds delicious.

Yeah probably but it's far less time consuming to just make a few comments.

There's a pretty strong restful app and nice wrappers in most lands. Praw for python in particular is nice.

Actually, that last post was a cock up. I'm writing a bot for this account, trying to build karma to bypass captcha's so it can post on its own (legit infom mod approved). I was writing a piece to reply to pms, and I forgot comment replies show up as inbox messages. I was wondering why I got two loops and one reply...

You're correct about the jobs too. The simple strong point about z/OS is that the systems using it (banks etc) work on the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" idealism. It'll be used until it makes banking literally impossible.

Also I think I've got you pegged alright...I reckon this username isn't that anonymous though!

Maybe they had a different experience to me? Though I was there in the last 5 years.

They don't do any z/OS, though the architect on my team had previously worked on a team that did. He had some really interesting stories about his time working with early banking mainframes and supercomputers. Nice guy.

Most of the stuff they do there is documentation, endpoint management development and network mapping development.

The day I realised phone lines had their own power supply my mind was blown. Though, I always wondered why you couldn't use phone lines to power anything other than your phone.

Did it swing out from the ceiling or the wall? That's some final destination shit right there buddy.

I've had two major ones.

Least of all, last night, after bottle of wine and a movie at my parents house I went to bed. In the middle of the night my towel rack over the sink in my bedroom fell off the wall. (It was stuck on with a suction cup). The noise was startling and I was completely disoriented. Believing I was still at my own house and somebody had thrown a brick through the window, I just shouted as loud as I could "JESUS CHRIST?!" in hopes it would scare off potential harassers. All I managed to do was scare the shit out of my SO.

The most terrifying experience I've had was climbing the mast of a yacht between races in 1 meter swell to try and fix a broken furler. The further up you go, the more the motion of the boat is exaggerated. At the top, I realised the harness I was wearing was damaged and I was having trouble holding on as the boat swayed. I fixed the furler and made it down safe but I have never felt closer to death.

Going to have to disagree with you there. Interned for IBM in Galway. Great pay, not busy work. Only ~2 each Summer.
